Why would you call Kell Brook "slick" just to defend him fighting Golovkin

No, I think there would be very little discussion on Lara, Rigondeaux or Lomachenko being "slick."

    I wouldn't call Lara slick.

Big difference been slick in the pocket and just not engaging

Only before you fight Golovkin, though.

Willie Monroe, by any other definition, is a slick fighter, but that went right out the window once he signed to fight GGG. All slick points were null and void. Sorry, Willie.

You need to take your medicine and leave me the fug alone cause I never made the statement that Browne or Imam was slick.

Being "Slick" against Willie Monroe's level of competion, is like being the Alaska state High School Home Run champion...it simply doesn't equate to the major leagues.

So I'm guessing he's won two world titles by "running"? And Kobe Bryant who averaged 6 assists a game "never passes the ball"?

There is an intellectualism that helps in watching sports, Bro

Not at all. Lara is a good defensive boxer.

Defensive doesn't mean slick. Compare him to Loma then tell me who the slick boxer is.

Your highlight threads are really good even though I disagree with certain views of yours those threads bring visibility on this board to fighters and it is a big relief over the troll threads. We need more of those kind of theads and if anyone is a boxing fan they would be stalking those threads of yours.

What the problem is that nobody has defined slick and offered a fighter who fits that description. Fighters have been called cute, flashy, and slick. What do they do outside of good technique and solid foundations that those words are attached to them. People get caught up in the BS and perpetuate it because nobody asks the question, what makes him slick, or cute or flashy?

When you say that Brook is slick, what does he do that earns him that moniker?

Guys like Floyd, Mikey Garcia, Rigondeaux, Lomachenko, Barthélemy, Crawford, Degale, Chocolatito are slick. GG, Ward, Stevenson, either Charlo, Danny Garcia, Walters, are not slick.

What does slick mean to you guys?
