This has always been the worst excuse bob has had. We have investors from " such and such but Mayweather wont sit down with them"

People get investors for something they don't have the money for. Between Mayweather Top Rank and GB they have the money to put on the fight. When they put on the fight themselves they get all the upside. So why on earth would they need investors? We also know Mayweather is not fighting outside the states. Bob should just stop with the bull****.

In case there's potential for more money to be made. This Mayweather-Pacquiao hype has captured attention from all sorts of rich groups/individuals.

It takes a lot of money to put on a fight like this before a penny ever comes back. Its business. TR and GB have their money in this and that, invested in fighters and so on. Its business, no businessman likes to spend their own money.

you do realize they have the money right? They put on Floyd vs Oscar without any trouble. Nobody on Floyd or Gb side is talking about "investors"

Bob the big fat slob is the very prob ...Floyd wants it Pac wants it everybody wants the fight exept for bob......he wants to keep it in the house then he gets both sides of PPV and everything else ...even if the fighters make 50 mil bob only has rights to half of that cuz Floyd is his own so Bob figs he don't want to cash Pac in just yet ...thinks he can get a few more in house fights before Pac maybe gets beat by floyd ........in a nut shell

Floyd V Oscar was the biggest fight in boxing, and I didn't hear a peep about how oscar and floyd needed to sit down and find investors from signapore or africa. Arum is full of ****.

i'm not a businessman but this makes a lot of sense. why risk you own money when you can use others money? this is why arum is a top businessman/promoter.

iirc, there was an asian bigtime who wanted to put in $100m just to make the fight. that's good business for a promoter.

But there's more to it than that. For instance, venue? Who will pay them the most to have the event at their house? Jerry Jones perhaps? Who knows, that's why they need to sit down and figure it all out. Bring the most possible money to the table for everybody. An event like this is so much more than just the actual fight.

Floyd is only fighting at the MGM so you can stop that. Plus this thread is not about that its about Arum saying he is talking to "investors" which is not needed

from what i understand, money for these big fights will come from ringside ticket sales, PPV and closed-circuit and maybe some from MGM or vegas itself. big fights like that of pacquiao and mayweather pick-ups the Las Vegas economy for that day so they always wants those big figths there.

if an investor wants to get a fight of this magnitude for economic reason in their own country, they would have to pay more and it would be an added income for everyone, promoters and the fighters aside from the PPV.

are you stupid before these fights even happen they have checks from sponsors and ticket sales Floyd cuts himself a check on fight night then collects the PPV upside later. If Bob needs help coming up with the money to pay Manny fight night Floyd and GB can give him a loan
