Why wouldn't Top Rank hire a biased broadcast crew?

I just got to watch the Top Rank PPV. You think Arum paid off the judges yet hired a broadcast crew that basically screamed robbery? That crew was a public relations nightmare if he wanted to set up Marquez/Rios. Raul Marquez is a TR employee through and through so you think at least he would have been defending Rios if TR was putting pressure on the broadcast crew to favor the TR fighter. I think it was Brian Kenny that pointed out the market wouldn't be there for a Marquez/Rios fight after what happened in the ring and Marquez will only want big fights.

We all know the general boxing audience can be easily influenced by the announcers yet Top Rank seems to have overlooked that? I'd say think about it but the responses are written before I typed this and I know what to expect.

I liked Brian Kennys "**** face" comment at the end of the fight.

Journalists have higher moral values than judges.

People like to forget that the casinos have a vested financial interest in these fights and are in a position to make the judges stay pretty comfy. I don't know the laws but I'm pretty sure a promoter would be in some pretty deep **** if they were caught bribing judges. Casinos? Giving the judge a top notch suite and comp them some meals and some chips to be cashed in at the casino might actually be legal. I'm not sure about that but in theory they have no direct interest in the fight and might fall a little outside the law but they are going to favor fighters that bring the crowds with them.

    Arum probably felt no need.

Abril on paper, really shouldn't of been much bother for Rios. Everyone thought Rios was better than he showed, and everyone thought Abril was worse than he showed, so there was no need to hire biased broadcasters.

Nobody expected a Pacquaio - Marquez 3 moment.

Then why pay the judges? He could have gotten someone much cheaper and more compliant than Brian Kenny to do the broadcast.

i don't understand why arum or anybody would pay off a judge when his fighter is like 10-1 favorite.

so, you believe he does this on every fight?

he didn't protect morales on his tune up before pac.

he didn't protect a fast rising undefeated prospect in kid diamond who got robbed against casa.

what i believe as was the practice once long ago, fighters have partners/backers that are gansters who are more likely to intimidate or pay off a judge to protect his investment.

people have to be very gullible to believe that arum/tr would risk it all on all or just for one of their fighter.
