I've been publicly favoring PTP but privately I been wavering back and forth on this fight. If Winky comes out well conditioned and the ring rust is not so apparent then I think he has an excellent shot at pulling off an upset. His come forward style and attack that is predicated on his excellent jab should allow him to get inside PTP's reach. I'm still leaning towards PTP on points because of the work rate but I view this fight as a pick em.

    Actually , it is.

    And it's not debatable.

Just go back and look at what you wrote.

It couldn't be more your fault.

Good sentence. Or is it a question ?
Yet another example of your expressive abilities.

How about a little literacy on yours ?

We'll find out in twelve more days !

Never said Taylor was going to do anything of the sort. Re-read the thread.

Are you drinking this evening, perhaps?

The term 'chickening out' doesn't enter into things here.

We've reached an impasse on our opinions. But no need to sweat it.
As I mentioned already, in twelve days time we'll have a better idea on the relative merits of both our viewpoints when reality adjudicates the matter.

Now, to borrow from another poster, make that your last bottle and get to your bed.

    You're starting to make a **** of yourself !

    Again, till May 12th,

    Regards.

I think it'll be a close fight, Winky's defense versus Williams offense, should be a back and forth kind of fight. Wright could win it based on experience though.

No it wasn't and were arguing in circles. I've already made my point on this matter. If you want to keep beating a dead dog go right a head. But your wasting your time.

Its a question which explains the question mark(you know this ? sign) at the end of it.

    Right:roll:

Whats that? your mothers pet name.

if winky can back up paul i'd say its over. I'm picking Winky to win, more skilled in my opinion, the ring rust will make it close though.

I feel Winky will win, but I just don't know how much Winky has left. Williams would never fight Winky if he thought he was still a good fighter.

    Yes.

    It was.

Saying that it wasn't doesn't change the fact that it was.

And we're not arguing in circles.

You ****ed up in your sentence formulation. Fine. No big deal.

But then you tried to shift your ****-up on to my plate, when a simple clarification of your originally intended point was all that was needed.

    Well...

...if you can't see what is missing from this 'question' both in terms of words and punctuation, then I can't help you.

Suffice to say, you're not helping the case that you can write clearly.

Do you understand the meaning of the term 'conditional' ?

    As in

This means that, were they to fight, Taylor would have little trouble with Williams. That's why I used 'would' and not when, or some other term.

    Therefore, when you write...

...I point out to you that I

In addition to having problems expressing yourself, you appear to be plagued with an inability to comprehend what you read.

Always the last resort when you're getting an ass-kicking, eh?

    Toss an insult.

Didn't you berate Boo for doing just that, earlier in the thread ?

For the last time, further speculation and debate about Wright/Williams is redundant at this point.

The matter will be decided in twelve days time.

You'll have to contain yourself till then !

Arguing in circles it is:good I didn't **** up you misread the sentence plain and simple.

"Franky, my dear I don't give a damn." Its still a question, regardless of my typo.

Again you still have to prove this theory. Making claims without proof is pointless. Saying Taylor having no trouble with Williams implies that Taylor will beat Williams. A claim you have yet to show proof of possibly happening. You say you have boxing knowledge prove it. Quit skirting around it and be a man.

 Yeah you call me a **** and your lecturing me on tossing insults. Get over yourself much?

    Again, No.

As I mentioned earlier, you expressed yourself very poorly.

And then, instead of acknowledging the obvious, you choose to get into a pissing match about it. Your original ****-up is there for you to go back and read. Very few competent English speakers would disagree that you expressed yourself poorly.

Not too many grammar Nazis on here, my man. But given that the whole crux of this discussion has long since departed from boxing and moved to the issue of clarity, a statement/question that's missing words and /or punctation hardly strengthens your case.

No, I ****ing don't lad. You haven't been on here very long, have you ?

People offer their opinions all the time on here. It is OPINION and as such, is neither provable nor disprovable.

And besides, it was stated in the context of Wright/Williams. I'm hardly going to go off and attempt to prove a side point to the discussion.

And that is even more the case when it's an opinion. Just like 'SRR would have no trouble with SRL' is an opinion. It cannot be proven.

Get a ****ing grip on reality here, lad.

No, again your weak grasp of the language is exposed. (Could English be your second language? No shame there if it is).

I'll ignore the sorry state of your sentence since I believe I understand what you're trying to say.

    It implies no such thing.

Use of the word 'will' on your part here would only be appropriate IF they were scheduled to fight. And they're not.

What my sentence actually means (and this is not the first time i've tried to get this into your head) is that IF tTHEY WERE TO FIGHT, Taylor would have no trouble.

And, as I already pointed out, this was stated as opinion, and as such neither requires proof, nor is proof possible.

There you go again with the pseudo-macho bull****.

It has **** all to do with being a man (or earlier, a chicken). What part of that don't you get ?

    I didn't call you a ****.

I said you were beginning to make a **** of yourself.

And if you go back and read the thread, you will see that you were.

And getting your ass thoroughly kicked on non-boxing issues simply because you appear to have a problem admitting when you make a mistake.

Furthermore, the term "making a **** of yourself" while mildly insulting perhaps, is hardly a huge insult.

Maybe I should have used the word 'fool' or 'idiot' but round here, making a **** of yourself means just that. Foolish behaviour.

As in : "Cuchulain got drunk at the wedding and made a right **** of himself."

I don't think I'd take that as a huge insult.

Perhaps a difference of intent on the meaning of '****'.

At any rate, no serious insult was intended.

But more than anything else, IMO there is no further point in debating how a Winky /Paul fight will turn out when we only have to wait a few more days and we will know.

    With certainty.

No need for speculation, nor proof.

So for the very last time, till then !
    :hi:

Very impressive by Williams. I think he belongs to 154, 160, it seems at 147, the weight affected him a major way (Quintana), he looked pretty bad in that fight. Yes, he beat Margarito, but I think if the was was held at 154, he would've schooled Tony from start to finish, never letting Margarito coming on stronger and stronger.

I must admit, I never expected Williams to look this good, old Winky or not. He just needs to stay focused and busy, and he'll be a major player on the elite level. From 154 to maybe 168, he's someone to look out for.

In the meantime, he needs to fight a popular name to be able to bring bigtime money to the table, as I clearly see him a high risk average reward type of guy. I'd love to see Shane giving him an opportunity at 147, or moving up. I think it's a strong possibility with Arum looking for Top Rank only fights for Cotto (Clottey, then PacMan). Mosley-Williams is the best fight out there between two elite Americans, because that's what Williams is, an elite fighter.

Congratulations to him! I'm happily eating my words! :thumbsup
