Before watching Chilemba fight, I had Ward v Kovalev and 65/35 fight in favor of Kovalev because Ward is still a one-handed fighter as far as I'm concerned. I know he used his last two fights to work on his right hand, but he won't need it as much as I thought.

I finally watched Kovalev versus Chilemba. I wasn't able to see it live and I avoid the low-grade Youtube version. The fight was so intriguing that I had to go back and watch Kovalev versus Hopkins. What I noticed is that you don't need right hand to compete with Kovalev just a left hand.

Hopkins survived against Kovalev by using his left hand to keep Kovalev from measuring him and completely closing the distance. Also, 90 percent of the punches (I'm guessing) that bhop land was the left hand. quick jabs, and short left hooks.

Chilemba doubling up the jab by going upstairs and downstair in that old school bodysnatcher fashion had Kovalev guessing. ending every exchange with a jab was also a key.

Kovalev keeps his right hand at chest level when he pray's on his victim this here will cost himinst good jabbers. You can successfully land a good jab to disrupt his offense just by throwing a jab before throws and after all exchanges.

If you can paw with your jab and throw faints you stop him from coming in. He's not a GGG type dominator , he's more calculated and only takes the risk when his opponent is frozen or no longer wants to exchange.

Chilemba Had success because he threw with Kovalev and didn't freeze up while getting hit.

Kovalev can have the center of the right and still

I don't believe you need respectable power to beat Kovalev. You just can't fight as if you don't believe in yours.

I have the fight now 50/50 because 1 Hard punch can still a round. I don't see him putting Ward away, but if he drops him twice in the fight that's 4 points there a lone. If you stun a guy anytime in that round you also win the round.

sorry for the spelling errors in advances. I'm at working trying to get my thoughts out before I get caught lol

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

ITS NOT A 50/50 FIGHT IF YOU THINK ONE PUNCH CAN CHANGE THE FIGHT.

you have ward favourite, and are dismissing kovalev who only has a punchers chance. good for you, just admit.
