I just feel 6 months out a professional boxer can re-evaluate his training and make it so he comes in 7lbs heavier than originally planned in the same kind of shape, actually probably stronger.

The 2nd point is definitely possible and I HOPE it happens. I am a fan of Hatton. I just don't feel Hatton is physically strong enough, and kinda feel Floyd might rough him up and appear the stronger man. Floyd has very underrated "dirty tactics" himself, he uses that fore-arm perfectly to push his opponents away. I am just being real careful in this one. Honestly it was a combination of the Baldo and Oscar fights for Floyd and the Collazo fight for Hatton that is really making me pick Floyd to win quite convincingly.
First, Hatton showed great vulnerability in the Collazo fight. Collazo fills out WW well, he is strong, tough and durable and really appeared to wear Hatton down. His skills appeared superior LATE in the fight, while I felt Hatton appeared to be boxing very well early. Also, he hurt Hatton late...and he is not a puncher. I think Floyd is going to allow Hatton to come to him early. He is going to catch him coming in, and take a grazing shot from Hatton occasionally. Even when Hatton gets in close, that doesn't guaruntee contact, because Floyd is so damn comfortable and aware that you can have your head on his chest and his back on the ropes and he still rolls away and counters you. I think Hatton is going to get real frustrated, and be surprised at the toughness and strength of Floyd Mayweather and then take quite a beating late in the fight.
Hatton doesn't have a plan B. He can't have one. Floyd does, and that is pot shot and run.....which he is the best at. :deal

A larger defensive minded SOUTHPAW has very little to do with facing Floyd. Floyd stronger?? Cant wait 2 see that proven:D

Go ahead, lay on the ropes:lol:

PBF is talking all that jazz but will change his tune.

some good points again, you defo know your **** on pbf but like my original post stated, people are way off the mark solely judging hatton on his fight v collazo cos there was alot of factors in that terrible performance (weight, cold, southpaw style).

the hatton camp have already stated that ricky will be going into this fight as a light welterweight because they want him to be the fittest and sharpest he can possibly be for this fight to outwork pbf.

they are not worried what pbf weighs in this fight cos they don't rate pbf's power that highly but i do agree with you that pbf is stronger than people realise.

it's gonna be interesting to see who is the stronger man in this fight, personally i think it will be hatton.

That Defensive minded Southpaw hurt Hatton late. Yeah the southpaw style is something I haven't really taken into consideration in my posts. But you have to think, a boxer having a south paw stance has an advantage because he can give Hatton different looks and Hatton would be un-accustomed to fighting against a right handed jab. BUT, fighting Floyd Mayweather is the same exact thing only worse. Hatton is going to be unaccustomed to fighting such a precision boxer. Difference? You can train for Southpaws, you cannot train for the skills you will face against Floyd.

Floyd very well could be stronger, don't be a hater. What makes you think Floyd is weak? Because he boxes and doesn't slug?

i saw some footage of hatton in the gym yesterday that was being filmed for the 24/7 series and he is in awesome shape already, the double chins have gone lol and he looks the best i've seen him this far away froma fight.

one thing you can be sure of for this fight is that hatton will train his balls off for this fight, he wants this more than anything in the world and he will be in better shape than for the tsyzu fight.

whether thats enough remains to be seen.

    I've got Hatton right.

He's a dirty, overrated fighter that has a 10% chance of winning against Mayweather.

He also has victories TKO victories over Kostya Tszyu and Castillo....older versions? yes. But still very good and elite, also tough *******s who are extremely hard to stop. And his W over Collazo is debatable but still on the books.

You can train for southpaws that doesnt mean you're gonna handle it well. A fighter WITH A STYLE, SIZE, AND SKILL LEVEL of Collazo is totally different from Floyd:yep It isnt Hatton's jab thats affected, its his body attack vs lefty's.

Yes PBF has skills, who said he didnt?? Think Leonard and SRR didnt, in their respective fights with Duran and lamotta? Think a brawler or inside fighter has never beaten skilled outside fighters:huh  :nono

PBF has been less than stellar vs Castillo and DLH and neither one will bring what Hatton will bring here. As for his strength, when has Floyd manhandled anyone except Gatti since when 2001?? Its not his STYLE. i'm not saying he's not strong, I'm saying I'd LOVE 2 SEE him prove he's the stronger man vs Hatton.

Hatton manhandled Kostya Tszyu who had a plus 300 bench and was known as a strong fighter. He's run through JLC, he's proved he's a strong fighter and FIGHTS WITH THAT MINDSET.

So Floyds Mr. Strong guy? Here's a guy to test it with:yep

Feel how ya like, about whatever ya like, but Collazo has zippo 2 do with how this fight goes down:good
