Yuri's name is being used to gain negotiating leverage. Arum and Roach can threaten to fight Yuri because he is a Top Rank fighter who hold's a belt a 54 which make him enough of an viable attraction to maybe get Mayweather to compromise on his demands.

It's pretty much the same thing with Matt Hatton and Mayweather.

Anyone who is kneejerking to these reports just needs to be a little patient and understand that both sides are just doing their due diligence in getting their fighters the most money and other demands that they can possibly get.

Oh definitely mate, I agree. If Floyd takes that fight he deserves every bit of abuse he'll get for it.

I really cant see it though, theres taking an easy one then theres Matthew Hatton, he's that bad Floyd shouldnt even be allowed in the same country as him let alone ring.

If both fancy a challenge then Im sure Mosley/Berto would happily take Floyd's May date and Williams Pac's March date if he doesnt get cut / involved in a war with Martinez.

 

It's not a bad tunup actually. Better then Ricky's brother. For Manny it actually makes sence. He really don't belong at 147 Let alone 154. A little drama since yuri syle will give Pac some fits. A guy like Forman would probably help manny for a guy like floyd. Plus he just took a hard fight. If Floyd wants a tune up, she should go for a guy like valero.
