I was rooting for WHyte, but I can't stand this dude. His best comebacks was "I let you borrow my trousers to the club". :patsch I hope AJ sparks him out. The only good trash talker in the UK is groves, fury and whyte just come off as idiots.

All watching the recent Gloves are Off series has highlighted to me is how poor Johnny Nelson is at being the man-in-the-middle in comparison to his US counterpart, Max Kellerman. It particularly shows in this episode, with him repeatedly asking loaded questions to Whyte and rightly being pulled up on it. Peter Fury wasn't best pleased with him either after the Klitschko/Fury Gloves are Off. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I'd much rather someone such as Ed Robinson was mediating the discussion.

Nelson ruined it. He asks rubbish questions and should be neutral. He just sided with aj throughout it.

Nelson had no answer as to why AJ is ranked so high with the WBC though did he. Which was quite amusing.

With all due respect to Nelson, whom I like,he is out of his depth in situations like this. They need a boxing journalist with a wider and more interesting questions to host this show.

Nelson strikes me as someone who doesn't really do any research

He just seems to tag onto memes in the boxing world and is really cliche

Whyte was right about the #2 wbc rating. Beating up old men and bums makes Joshua the #3 hw in the world council, aye!

Want to see Whyte totally flattened, comes across as a nasty piece of work.

To echo the thoughts of others whilst I like Nelson, I actually think he's out of his depth and is borderline childish.

    I agree.

Most of these shows, whilst genuinely tense or have a faked tension thrust upon them by the dim lighting and eerie music, they rarely reveal anything new. It is just rehashing the nonsense that the two fighters have said previously and not really delving deeper into where those remarks came from. I rarely feel like i have learned anything after watching them.

Only the Froch v Groves one was really compelling and that was because they took over the show and Nelson had to take a back seat.

Would have loved it if Eubank Jr v Saunders was on Sky and we got to see them two face off.

His questions aren't probing enough and he asks the type of questions that fighters get asked all the time in a build up to a big fight so they often just regurgitate the answers you have heard previously in press conferences.

Also, with the low level music and lighting, Nelson, and his American counterpart, Kellerman, lack the gravitas to pull it off.
