Fury and Whyte have been ordered by the WBC to fight one another as an elimator for the No.1 mandatory spot to fight for Wilder`s title but Whyte has refused and wants to fight Oscar Rivas instead, why is this? Whyte is petitioning the WBC`s decision, is he right in doing this?

I do think he's the real dangerman in the division though Whyte, until Usyk starts slapping the giants up !

Hmm not really ducking, I mean the WBC are a total shambles with how they've treated him. Surely it has to be understood from his point of view, feeling that no matter what he does he'll never be mandatory

Whyte said he would take the fight but doesn’t want the ruling as he knows it would delay things. We all know Fury isn’t fighting a final eliminator ffs , the WBC know what they’re doing.

So Whyte should cancel his fight with Rivas, that is already signed and probably guarantees him a couple of million quid, to negotiate a fight that may not happen anyway?

He's already signed to fight Rivas, so what do the WBC expect him to do? Rivas is a perfectly good opponent for a final eliminator anyway, considering Molina and Rossy were good enough for eliminators in the past. Whyte's perfectly entitled to turn down their BS ruling, which is as transparent as David Price's chin.

This is just another in a long line of obstacles designed to jerk Whyte around, and he should go to the courts if need be.

I'm not a fan of Whyte but he doesn't want to fight Rivas "instead" of Fury, he just wants his fight with Rivas to be a final eliminator. But i do not believe him when he says he'd fight Fury

Smart move tbh by WBC (who are an absolute shithouse joke)

    - Knowing Whyte has already signed the Rivas fight
    - Mandate fight vs Fury (both Wilder contenders, make them fight each other, eliminates one and buys more time)
    - If Whyte gives up on WBC route, he will go WBA and try to take Uysk's spot as AJ's Mando (again, eliminate a Wilder contender)
    - gives Wilder time to fight Breazeale, Ortiz II and that fat Michelin man look-a-like.
    - more protection for Wilder.
    - can keep avoiding Whyte cos they know he will smash their boy and take the WBC HW belt out of America.

Just look a that fat greasy plebeian Mauricio Sulaiman, he would give up his first born son for a dollar.
