This content is protected Don't be fooled by the fact he got ice cold KOd by a 40 yo shot to pieces covid ravaged Povetkin.. He ain't not 39yo gunshy Wlad or a walking right hand. Whyte KO
Povetkin was days before his 41st birthday but he didn't have Covid in the first fight. When Wlad was Fury's age he was a highly experienced world champion and star amateur before that but he was still getting knocked all over the place and KO'd by massive underdogs every couple of fights, the 39 year old version (who was no more inherently "gunshy" than the Thompson/Ibragimov/Haye version) hadn't been on the floor in over a decade and was just a year removed from arguably a career best performance. The walking right hand would have a good chance of KO'ing virtually any heavyweight as the ATG RH is combined with great size, athleticism, toughness and fighting instincts, which is why he was never KO'd by a Douglas, McCall, Puritty or Ruiz, unlike many of the apparent greats.
Not a man born of his mothers **** can beat fury… So it's a good job Whyte looks like he flopped out of someone's arsehole isn't it
Wlad looked like trash the fight before Fury against Jennings and notably more gunshy. He was 39 year old for **** sake. I assume a year removed from "his best performance" refers to Pulev - the guy who had fought nobody up until his fight with Wlad and has yet to have any notable win. Wlad got rocked by Pulevs jab Wilder does have good power, athleticism and height/reach attributes but his career is manufactured to core. He clearly does have power by the fact there are opponents he KOs whereas other highly ranked go the distance. But styles make fights. He has a shite resume nonetheless. -beaten the shite out 3 times by Fury. One of which was fat 270lbs coked up mess. -early stoppage of 50 year old Ortiz. Ortiz won every single round of the second fight and did not receive a single punch until the 7th round. Despite Ortiz getting up and the round practically ended, the ref jumped in and stopped the fight early giving Ortiz no chance whatsoever despite a superb performance up until that point. -KOd below mediocre plodder 33yo Breazeale in a highly favourable style match up. -took a significant beating in round 7 against pensioner Ortiz (taking a much more sustained period of punishment than that one punch Wilder landed in the rematch). Was given extra time to recover which was disgraceful. -Stiverne 1&2 and Arreola - just flat out useless fighters. Arreola wobbling Ruiz with a catch left hook does not change that fact. -Duhaupus - early stoppage could not wipe him out clean as did Povetkin (granted he had f all time to prepare) . -Szpilka - cruiser looking fighting looked half the size of Wilder and made him look useless as always. Deontay Wilder has always been a useless right hand.
It's a complete myth that Wlad looked bad against Jennings; he won 9 or 10 rounds while not being allowed to hold as he did in Europe. It was a dominant performance but it fell below expectations because Wlad was coming off demolishing Pulev. Pulev himself had beaten an older Tony Thompson 8-4/9-3; Thompson who 5 years prior had given 32 year old Wlad a very difficult fight. It was easy dominating opponents who were some combination of shorter, slower, less skilled and less powerful: the Klitschko's specialised in this. But in Fury, Wlad had an opponent who was taller, heavier, faster, more agile, stronger and more skilled, with a better engine. So Wlad's usual tactics of jabbing at range to set up the right hand were far less effective and Wlad was wary of getting countered and gassing out. He also couldn't use his holding tactics against a bigger, stronger opponent. So, for the only time in his entire career, he lost a decision wide on the cards, in his hometown, against a pre-prime 27 year old challenger in his first title fight. Wlad was a 4/1 favourite, not an underdog as he was against Williamson and Peter at 28/29 years old because Wlad was in very good form, not getting KD'd or KO'd every couple of fights for 3 years. And 17 months later, at 41+, coming off a defeat, Wlad went life and death with 27.5 year old, star amateur, 18-0 AJ in his 4th world title fight, so Wlad clearly had a lot left in the tank even then. Your analysis of Wilder's fights are complete rubbish. I remember you even claiming that Fury, who was not even 23 at the time, "struggled" with Chisora, when 14-0, 27.5 year old Chisora (who was the favourite at the time) won 1-2 rounds by consensus. Some facts about Wilder's fights: he took relatively little to no damage in all save Ortiz 1, Fury 2 and Fury 3 and he KO'd every opponent on his record who isn't named Tyson Fury. Even then, he managed to drop Fury 4 times over 3 fights and draw with him once, with only a subjective referring decision standing in the way of a KO win. He never lost to a McCall, Rahman, Puritty, Sanders, Brewster or Ruiz, unlike many prominent heavyweight champs in the last 25-30 years. Stiverne beat prime Arreola x2 (schooling and KO6) Duhaupas beat Charr and went on to KO6 Helenius in Finland Szpilka beat Adamek and went on to beat Wach Arreola KO'd McCline in 4, Molina in 1, Mitchell in 1 and took Ruiz to war over 12 while 40+ and 21 months retired Washington KO'd Forrest in 2, dominated Chambers and went on to KO8 Helenius Ortiz KO'd Jennings in 7, Thompson in 6, Martin in 6 and dominated Hammer and Scott I agree that Wilder was relatively protected up until he fought Ortiz but for a 3.66 period after that, no one in the heavyweight division and maybe the sport of boxing fought more dangerous competition than Wilder. Wilder's title opponents were for the most part similarly capable of causing upsets as the aforementioned SHW-slayers, who are glorified mainly because they exposed vulnerable champions. What has Ruiz done aside from destroy AJ? Struggle and go the distance with washed up versions of Liakhovich, Kevin and Arreola? If Wilder was am exceptional right hand, rather than an exceptional right hand paired with many extremely good attributes, he would be a journeyman like Darnell Boone. If you have great power, speed, length, toughness and fighting instincts, you are very dangerous for virtually anyone in the heavyweight division.
Wlad absolutely looked gunshy in that fight and despite dominating the scorecards did not look impressive at all. Watch it back Come on?! Tony Thompson.. And an old one at that this is quite the reach Exactly and that's why Wlad himself is overrated to high heavens. Beating on smaller guys with extreme safety first tactics and having to resort to DQ worthy tactics (re Povetkin), then as soon as he steps up to someone with a modicum of skill and equal or more height and reach he gets beat. Wlad is massively overrated despite having shameless notable wins (Haye, Povetkin) Ah that must be the AJ with the egg sandwich resume Im guessing? Apart from being clocked by professional bottler Molina, 33yo walking punchbag Breazeale and getting dazzled by Jason Gavern.. Let's not act like the opponents he had faced were of sufficient quality that they were able to dish out punishment. You seem like you just really like Wilder and are just trying to give him as much credit as possible than actually provide an objective analysis of him. Prime Arreola... This is supposed to make my jaw drop? Arreola has beaten nobody of note. You seem to be clinging on to the fact he gave Ruiz a hard fight despite Ruiz not having fought in 15 months, losing half his bodyweight and changing trainer... In those circumstances its hard to imagine someone being able to show a good performance against a resilient guy like Arreola. And also, Stiverne was 35/36 when Wilder beat him the first time. He has done f all since.. The most notable thing he had done since then is binge himself into the second fight after two years out and got deservedly starched. Dubaupas is **** dude Small Szpilka was arguably winning every round against Wilder. Your point is what here? AJ Beat Molina who KOd Adamek shortly after his points loss to Szpilka.. This doesn't make Molina a good win, nor does it make Szpilka a good win.. And especially as Szpilka looked like a cruiser in there with Wilder. More mental gymnastics... Washington is beyond trash ... Wilder does not have a good resume it is abundantly clear. Wilder KOing some opponents earlier than others have says nothing but styles make fights and that he clearly has power.
Let’s be honest here, a young fury toyed with a fresh Chisora twice and whyte struggled with an old Chisora. whyte is getting jabbed and stopped
It’s hilarious how he s***s all over wlad and his career yet omits the fact that his hero wilders own management publicly admitted that wilder wasn’t ready to face him despite being a world champion at the time.
