He beat the holder of the interim belt, he beat the guy who sparked him in his last fight, age, covid or anything else is nothing to do with Whyte, if Povetkin was not fit to fight then he could have vacated the belt, and another opponent would have been chosen. Whyte may or may not have reached his limit only time will tell. However Whyte turned up for this bout fit focused and did not make excuses for his previous loss, this something a few recent heavies might like to follow example of.
AJ & Whyte haven't improved much over the last 7 years Both put on a little weight which AJ is now cutting. A few little bits and bobs...but stick them in front of the best in the division it will be a massacre. Will be like watching an amatuer fighting prime Roberto Duran. Whyte against Fury would be devastating & equally hilarious. The gulf is amazing really. Fury's improvements year on year are weird. Once he got his feet fully coordinated after 3 years from debut it was game over for the rest of them. When you have someone with some decent footwork & range keeping Whyte's jab goes out the window. Few years ago people were jerking off about Whyte's jab. His gas tank and plodding footwork are his real issue. Joyce, Whyte, Ruiz, Wilder. Stick them all in the bucket and let the best crab win.
He did When Eddie mentioned fighting in the US Knows it wont be PPV on DAZN so aint wanting no real risks
It's pathetic. For a wannabe "people's champion" man-from-the-street, he's so f**king entitled! You'd think his resume was the stuff of legend. He's an also-ran.
