I think Whyte & his team are doing their very best. Whyte will give a very good go of it early doors IF he doesn't mentally jack it. You'll see it in his eyes and face if he's bottled it. If he's zoned in and ready then he'll execute his gameplan pretty effectively in till Fury adapts & Whyte slows.
I'd say there's a slim chance Whyte could win a decision. He certainly doesn't have the KO power of Wilder, so I don't see Fury getting dropped. But Whyte had some decent wins over at least a few respectable opponents. So maybe if Fury gets lazy, Whyte could steal a few rounds here and there. I wouldn't count on it, and realistically I don't see this fight going the distance, but I wouldn't argue that it's impossible.
Agreed. But one thing I've learnt in my years is you never fully know. I can't see it, I see this as a Guerrero Vs Mayweather type of fight, an absolute no hoper. But you never know. I'll enjoy Whyte getting outboxxed anyway.
I've just seen Whytes interview with Sky from this evening and I am now convinced he is not 100% in this fight mentally. This content is protected To me he seems quite tired and nervous and I think the rest of this week is going to drain him mentally. His eyes look super glazed over here.
" No human being is more than 3 to 1 over another" Damon Runyon While I don't agree totally with that I disagree with Whyte having no chance. History screams otherwise, whether Whyte has a chance will have more to do with Fury's preparation and conditioning than with Whyte, so we'll see.
I wasn't necessarily expecting to see what you see, but, I do believe you're right, he does have the look of a mentally fatigued, overanxious man. His features/expressions also appear much more softened than I'd expect of Whyte in a given fight week. I don't think I've ever seen him look more teddy bear-like. Dillie-the-Pooh will be his new name.
There's no such thing as 0%, however the odds are overwhelmingly against him as Fury can win on the front or backfoot IMO
