He is the worst heavyweight with a name in this country. He has always been shite, he can't "get" the skill, and I dont see him beating anyone remotley decent. Del would do him if they meet again. Thats how done he is. AJ will finish him very early, but Whyte doesn't deserve that fight. Sparked in front of 100k people by a punch he can't avoid, went life and death with a nobody... AJ hurts him. He shut down talks of a rematch because he knows he's done. And there's no other opponent next who i see him NOT getting stopped by. He is the worst heavy in the top 15/20. He's in a very rough spot right now.
All of that is true but he'll retire with millions in the bank, family secured and hopefully in reasonable health. As a paid fighter who went through kickboxing too, he's done better than most people expected. If he does get sparked at Wembley again he'll be on a very small list of people even to headline there.
Whyte has done incredibly well financially, you have to give him credit. I’ve seen several ‘Whyte is washed’ style posts the last 24 hours. I think it’s nonsense - yes there may be some deterioration and maybe under-preparation last night, but ultimately that was the real Dillian Whyte. Lots of pundits (Bunce springs to mind but he’s not the only one) have talked this guy up. In my honest opinion he was never world class level. I mean so had him with a chance v Fury! He’s been knocked out three times, lost the first fight to Chisora, was 30 seconds from being stretched versus Parker and beat a COVID riddled, out of shape, retired Povetkin. He’s fought a lot of the top guys and fair play to him, as I said he’s massively overachieved in terms of profile. But he’s just a figment of the imagination for many in the British media and a lot of fans. Credit to Hearn for the job he has done, as this guy can sell tickets/PPVs
Watch the fight again - Whyte was very limited in his prime and there is now no limit as to how bad he is. Now all he has is the qualities of a journeyman however Mr Hearn attempts to continue fleecing the public in the future with his spin.
Like others have said quite amazing promotion tbh this guy has lost to every step up he has took ,even to a shot povetkin. This maximum violence crap laughable a professional athlete heavyweight fighter who is gassed after 3 rounds is horrific. Even with limited ability no excuse for not preparing properly. Let's be honest wilder ,aj ,Joyce, usuk and fury would all stop Franklin or win all 12 rounds against that sort level of opponent
Joshua is close to being washed also in my book. Hearn knows they'd both be beaten by Joyce and be on the scrap heap.
Heard Matchroom are thinking over a new event live on DAZN UK Box Office named Shotfighter headlined by Joshua, Whyte and Chisora
He looked old last night but then but many fighters don't look great after a big loss they waited years for so there's a chance he could find the missing spark I guess. Doesn't seem like moving to Portugal and now the US worked out tbh
I thought it was a decent fight last night, wouldn’t say he is finished or washed up, just doesn’t belong at the very top level/never has. He looked pretty tired last night for most of the fight and even though he landed a lot of shots especially to the body Franklin didn’t seem to care. Which is strange as he had a huge gut, you would think with Dillians supposed power that wouldn’t be the case. AJ will fold him in half in the rematch, Hearn knows full well. Just what AJ needs to give his career that boost. Whyte is European level right now.
I've always thought this. Always seems to come in out of shape. He's clumsy, slow and ponderous. He relies too much on his left hook. I always thought Chisora won their first fight, maybe a draw perhaps. He's had alot of close decisions go his way. I think he gets alot of opportunities through being managed very well by Hearn and because of his trash talking style, which helps sell tickets.
Before Whyte was knocked out by Fury @BEATDOWNZ aka @Brixton Bomber aka @Plaistow aka @Pezee and fellow Brixton resident you know who were predicting Whyte to beat Fury and listing Whyte as a good win on Joshua's record. Now he's crap and always has been.
Dillian Whyte is definitely "on the slide" and I hope he doesn't end up like Chisora. One last big titel fight and then I hope he hangs up the gloves.
