Whyte is 255 lbs overweight fat slob who recently beat 45 year old bald bouncer holigan. This win is way overrated. Parker looks good when he comes under 240 lbs. He is going to destroy Whyte with his foot speed. Missmatch. And if u want double your fortu ne then bet Parker.
Parker will win but this is hardly a mismatch. Pickem fight for me, with me leaning towards Parker. Even if Whyte does come in overweight, he'll still be in far better shape than Ruiz Jr who gave Parker a very close fight. Foot speed is great and all that but you don't win fights by just moving, Parker's main issue is his inability to mount any kind of effective offense, especially when moving. If Parker moves and boxes then he could squeak another very close decision like vs Takam and Ruiz Jr. If Parker is to really impose himself he needs to forget all the movement. He has faster hands, a better chin and can hit hard enough to hurt Whyte, he needs to pressure Whyte, take away Whyte's jab and reach advantage and knock him out. He does that then he's right back in the mix again.
I have a feeling that they make be working on something like that. It will be interesting to see, though.
8-4 Parker probably. I like Dillian Whyte too, I just think Parker can beat Whyte at his own game (outboxing)
I think Parker takes this. He's the far better boxer of the two. Whyte's defense rests on his chin and Parker is going to find a lot of opportunities when Wild Whyte misses. Could be an easy UD or late stoppage for Parker.
Whyte has come on leaps and bounds in a very short period of time, he's got better and better with every fight parker hasn't added anything new to his game for a while, i haven't seen any improvements from him, I got whyte on points.
How on earth has Whyte come on leaps and bounds? Such a generic statement. I've seen little improvement and his opposition has been pretty bad.
Whyte's defence is atrocious, no head movement, poor footwork, eats shots like a fat kid eats candy after escaping fat camp. It's why even a faded Chisora simply had to walk forward and throw and could barely miss. But what Whyte lacks defensively he makes up for in offence, he's got a good jab, nice shot variety and counters reasonably well. If Parker gets pushed back like he did vs Takam and Ruiz Jr he'll have a much tougher fight as he'll allow Whyte to be the aggressor as he likes and will be limited to fighting in spurts and might risk getting robbed on the scorecards. But if Parker can be the one to push Whyte back by using his fast hands to get off first then he can but a beating down on Whyte but unlike Chisora, Parker won't gas. Sure Parker's attacks are predictable and telegraphed but if someone as basic as Chisora can get to Whyte's chin regularly I see no reason why Parker can't light him up as well. I just hope Parker doesn't pick the wrong strategy.
Disagree about Parker not improving. He's improved his defensive skills. I noticed in the Fury fight his head and upper body movement has come on leaps and bounds since the Takam and Ruiz fights. Problem is Parker's main problem isn't his defence now it's his offence, he's too predictable and because of that struggles to let his hands go because when he does he gets countered like in the Ruiz Jr fight. Agree that Whyte has improved. Even just his conditioning is much better than it was when he fought Joshua. He also has improved his counter punching and even moves a little better than before, but then that's not hard he had next to no movement before, in terms of movement he couldn't get any worse only better. I didn't rate Whyte at all before, but I think he's now a solid fighter and should give Parker a good test.
