I can't even believe that there was even a selling point to this PPV, seeing as he got "knocked cold".

    Absolute garbage.

Premium quality PPV event from Matchroom, apparently.

Disgusting that this was PPV as is Chisora v Parker. Hearn cons people into buying it and will con the same people into thinking it was value for money.

I don't understand the logic of people that would pay 20 quid for that last night. Although, was in conversation with 10+ people last night and not one brought it.

That saying we regularly hear, these fights can't be made without PPV. Why can't they? Why do the likes of chisora and whyte have to be paid millions of pounds. Whyte who has never fought for a world title, turned down final eliminator against Pulev and turned down a title shot against Joshua. Chisora, a journey man coming off another loss, 10 in total and loses every time he steps up.

At this point the qualification to be a PPV headliner involves being the 2nd and 3rd most well known HWs in the U.K.

The opponent doesn’t seem to matter, nor whether there are any real belts on the line.

Part of the reason why the undercards are garbage is because of how overpaid the likes of Whyte and Chisora are.

The only decent fight on the undercard last night was the Cheeseman fight and that should be a free to air Saturday night headline fight, not rescuing an embarrassing PPV undercard.

£20 to see the third or so best Heavyweight in the country fight a world class operator is more than a fair price.

That the fight and indeed occasion did not really take off is neither here or there. An element of boxing is that the beauty/ugliness of them intangibles cannot be controlled.

If you want that sort of control, you need to watch Vince McMahon's product. If that is not for you, get over yourself and either help change the world from its capitalism driven structure, or stop crying.

Whyte - Povetkin should never ever have been PPV.

It was inevitable Whyte was going to win, especially considering Povetkin had covid. He was clearly completely shot, but even so once or twice looked dangerous.

It's a bit annoying because it means Matchroom will shoehorn Whyte into conversations about the top guys when he's not of that same level. Mind you, I would really like to see Whyte vs Ruiz or Wilder.

Both wilder and this have refused to fight whyte
Whyte is a ppv fighter now
    Wilder and this simply arnt
    They bring nothing
    No fans
    No belt
    No ppv money
    No ranking higher than whytes
He's the aside out of the three

I think actually it would generate interest in this country. Outside of Joshua or Fury I think it's the most popular PPV option for Whyte.

Tell ruiz you want the ranking walk through some heat
Not your aerosols of this world

Just out of interest, how does Hearn con people? He advertises the card and the price, people can make the choice of whether they want to buy it, and Hearn delivers what he advertises.

Seems like a perfectly fair transaction to me.

    Why not?

Everything in the present climate, and indeed boxing as whole in the UK suggested this was a PPV fight.

If you do not like that, go out and change things!

Crying on the internet will do nothing, all that does is stroke your ego, by looking in a figurative mirror and generally getting your views validated.

Ruiz has fast hands and a granite chin. Not too sure he is a good match up for Whyte.

Wilder fight does make sense. Would love to see that, is not a big fight in the US but would be massive in the UK

First I have heard about this. When were they due to fight/in discussions to fight?
