So let's take a detailed look at his resume. I really think Whyte is one of the biggest hype jobs in the HWD right now. Why? So first i think he has one of the best promoters behind him now, Hearn knows how to sell him and he knows how to give him opponents where he looks great afterwards. I mean you can promote a guy who beat Anthony Joshua in the amateurs everywhere, especially if he is a Brit who hasn't a big amateur background due to some issues with the association because of his kickboxing career before. You can make a big story out of it. "The guy who beat AJ in the amateurs but wasn't allowed to have a big and successful amateur career due to a dispute with the association".

He is by far an average fighter in all aspects of his game, he has average power for a HW, he has no real defensive skills or is a good mover either, he is easy to hit and of course and you can also see that his technique isn't sharp or his skillset isn't various like you know from some experienced amateurs. Whyte is a brawler who has no plan b in his repertoire. But he isn't even able to brawl because he isn't able to take out average opponents due to lacking power and size.

But let's take a look at his resume, i think this will tell pretty much the whole story here.

I will start backwards from the beginning.

    His first 11 fights were vs some cans. I mean take a look at those records: 4-10-1, 17-40-3, 1-2-1, 22-64-5, 2-0-1, 6-23-5, 3-24-4, 3-1-1, 9-49-6.

I mean it pretty much tells the story if you fight a guy with a record of 9 wins and 49 losses (stopped 15 times) after being 10-0-0 so far. For example Parker fought a guy like Frans Botha after five fights.

But let's take a deeper look in the last two or three years. What did he do?

Apart from his defeat to AJ where he showed some kind of heart and toughness (i never questioned his ability to take shots!) he fought

    - 40yr old Brian Minto
    - 35yr old Ireneu Beato Costa Junior who was stopped in three of his last four fights before facing Whyte
    - 34yr old Ivica Bacurin who was 25-9-1
    - average brit level fighter David Allen
    - 34yr old Ian Lewision who was/is beyond his prime by far
    - past prime Dereck Chisora who was definitely robbed there, i think Chisora won the fight but he has no reputation and fought to lose
    - 38yr old Malcom Tann who was badly beaten and KOd by Kuzmin two months before facing Whyte and who had two fights within 10 years before
    - past prime 33yr old Robert Helenius who is absolutely shot to pieces and nearly lost to a guy with a 10-14-3 record recently
    - 39yr old Lucas Browne who looked like a 50yr old who had some pub brawls in the past, slow af, absolutely shot.

THIS is the dark true about Dillian Whyte. He has done absolutely NOTHING apart from surviving a couple of rounds vs Anthony Joshua, the #1 in the division.
I can not take Whyte as a serious and legit Top 10 HW. This is a joke. And some guys here thinking really he can beat Parker or Ortiz. LMAO.

Whyte will be exposed next month. He has absolutely no chance to win vs a fast, sharp and young Parker. But we all know the british cards and we know he will have a huge home support factor behind his back so Parker has to take him out to be sure. And i am sure he will do that.

True, he's not that good. But at least he has the balls to fight.

Parker needed a gift over a badly out of shape Andy Ruiz. Whyte would destroy Ruiz, and he'll beat Parker handily.

Whyte isn't that good, I don't think he'll beat Parker but he'll at least be competitive. I don't think he's any worse than Ruiz Jr or perhaps Takam and they gave Parker tough fights. Though I think Parker has improved since those fights.

Im sure you said somebody else was the biggest hype job in the division last week. You seem to be one of these "if your not 1st your last" people, if your not elite you are a bum.

Where is Whyte fighting anyone? What is that mean?

He fought AJ for a big payday, i think everyone would fight Joshua to take the biggest paycheck of their career.

What did he do apart from that?

Yeah, he deserves a credit point for taking the Parker fight but Parker hasn't the big KO power, i think fighting Ortiz would be a much bigger risk to get absolutely destroyed. By an 39yr old by the way.

You bum relating to Bellew i assume and u can save your enegery here: Bellew is no legit HW. I decided to ignore him in the HWD untill he fights some real and living HW opponents.

styles make fights, not past results. Otherwise, because Duran beat Leonard and Leonard beat Hagler, surely Duran would beat Hagler? either way, if Whyte wins, i'd be very surprised if he won "handily", i'm backing Parker to win this one.

Whyte will fight anyone whether it's 40-year old Tann or 29-13 listed Bacurin or even great British heavybags Lewison and Allen. Even took on Helenius on short notice. Hell, bring Toney back from retirement and Whyte will fight him.

To be honest, I think Whyte is eager to fight all the top HWs in the world, he's limited and flawed but brave enough.

But your post made me smile. His resume apart from AJ and Chisora looks like that.

Here here!...so far he's been lucky & TBH I thought AJ made hard work of it...I guess some may say AJ has improved since then but so has Whyte...both rubbish!

Whyte isn't that good but neither is Parker. I think they're not far from each other in level terms. Parker i'd say is a bit more polished and is faster albeit he is a bit too conservative at times. He also has no real clue how to cut the ring off properly.

Parker should win a decision in a closer affair than some think. I say that simply due to his speed advantage. I think Whyte is a bit faster than Joshua, though. Whyte actually rocked Joshua and at no time did Parker hurt Joshua at all. I did think the Parker vs Joshua fight was closer than the judges had it.

Who's hyping Whyte? Have a look at the Fury threads on this forum, that's hype!! Have a look at Fury's resume. Fury getting knocked on his hole by a CW. Fury's gift decision over McDermott. You want to talk about hype you're looking in the wrong place.
