Maybe our problem in communicating lies with semantics? What do you believe "fight anybody" actually means? As a grown up? A child would say... quite literally it means he will fight anyone.. A grown up SHOULD say... it means he is willing to fight anyone if it makes financial sense... because no sane human being would step in the ring and fight professionally if they arent getting paid properly. Ergo... Whyte really would fight anyone, belt or no belt, if the money is right. Parker money was right... Pulevs money was a mugging off. Whyte offered Pulev to be in parkers position... and it still could have been an IBF eliminator.. and pulev said no.. Now who really ducked??? Do i need to pull up the financial reports on whytes financial pulling power versus Pulevs?????? You know damn well where that fight should have been held and who brings the more money... for both fighters!!!! So why would Pulev decline... simple..logical question!
Good call mate, I wouldn't have mentioned the drugs ban either. Or the "confusion" with UKAD. Still he's a good guy though that has demonstrated commitment to the spo.... WHAT ? WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE CAME IN LIKE THE JABBA THE HUT IN HIS LAST FIGHT ..... HE TRAINS ALL YEAR ROUND , LETS GO BABY , LETS GO .. Yeah brother I hear you about the ducking though, Whytes ducking is because those other men are trying to trick him, he's always hard done to like in the AJ duck when he was only getting 50p and a freddo , or the Ortiz duck when it was because Ortiz wasn't a name and too old or whatever Eddie said , or the Pulev duck when he was only getting offered 10p and a can of Tizer to fight in Bulgaria.
Parker was clearly concussed for a while afterwards from a disgraceful headbutt which somehow got counted as a KD. Disgraceful officiating letting Whyte get away with that. It cost fringe contender Parker the fight where he would have coasted to victory had it not occurred.
Whyte could have got Usyk fight over Chisora, could have fought Hunter or even Bakole. All of who I would fancy to beat todays version of Povetkin.
I don't know man, non of the commentators saw it, they kept thinking it was legit till the slow mo cam came on and they were like "ohh no... its a clash of head" "not even a punch"
Whyte ruled out the Usyk fight because 'he cant speak english and nobody has heard of him'. He then signed up to fight Rivas! I mean you couldn't make that up.
In hindsight I agree Whyte got it wrong evident by the Usyk/Bellew figures... and how Usyk was WBO mando (not sure if he was at that time)
Happy to do a bit of CSI with you to see what really happened, we'll get youtube clip and ill slow it down to 0.5x...
Just look at the angle the ref had. He had a perfect view. Whyte definitely benefited from a bit of home cooking there.
No Whyte made the comments about Usyk before that fight, then we laughed as it got like 775k ppv buys?
It was after because people wanted to know who he was going to figth next. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2019/01/dillian-whyte-no-one-knows-who-oleksander-usyk-is/
So let me get this right. Parker, ranked top ten by Ring and Boxrec, former world champion, only lost to AJ, 24-0 = bum. But Hrgovic, not ranked top ten by Ring or Boxrec, not a former world champion, who has beaten no other world champions and only had ten fights = far better opponent? Hmmm.
I don’t think it’s a gimme fight for Whyte but there again most of Whyte’s last 5/6 fights were not a forgone conclusion in that the opposition had a decent chance of beating him . He is a great character, reasonably tough but lacks decent fundamentals in my opinion which means he is hittable . Povetkin is on the slide but for 4 to 6 rounds is still a threat and is capable of testing Whyte I look forward to watching it on YouTube as not in a million years do I think it worthy of a PPV.
