If Whyte is of so little worth commercially then why is there a big issue with the lack of promotion from him? Either he has a profile that can shift PPV’s, in which case he has an argument for a bigger slice, or Fury is the only name in the fight, in which case they shouldn’t need Whyte to sell it.

 

And that proves Whyte couldn't sell out a phone box how?

 

Why did Frank Warren on talksport say that the ticket sales don't cover anywhere near the purses for the event. He confirmed they are rolling the dice with PPV sales to make money.

Any old garbage sells out arenas these days and all is required is a good sales pitch.

It is a glorified drugs convention when Whyte is at the O2.

 

I think it’s more to do with fact that Whyte has been massively over hyped, is not talented in any shape of form in the art of boxing and comes across as a thick wannabe thug. Yes, that’s it.

 

Frank W has rolled the dice massively on this being a huge box office hit. That’s why he’s so miffed that Whyte isn’t helping to sell the fight. He alluded to it himself on talk sport yesterday that the ticket sales cover nowhere near enough of the purse bid.

 

Yet yarde v Arthur 2 was at the Copper Box so clearly not so easy to fill the O2.

 

Warren is so busy losing his mind over this he doesn’t realise that Whyte not attending the press conference has likely created more publicity for the fight than if he had!

 

Whyte should be fighting for British Titles at the York Hall.

Then he will lie down and sod off with his unearned money, this fight is going to be a disappointment beyond belief, but it has happened before and will happen again, anybody thinking Whyte is coming to put up a fight is deluded, he knows he can not win so will take the first exit out of there laughing in the face of everything about it.

As a boxing fan have you ever discussed let alone defended a fighter wanting more money for image rights/press conference attendance etc? Nope.

I can take or leave both whyte and fury but whyte in my opinion is being petty here, probably taking advice from his cash cow Mr Hearn.

should be a decent fight but if whyte gets battered it’s all going to look very bad for him. But he’s probably been guaranteed 2M for the chisora trilogy afterwards so I doubt if he cares.

He's getting by far, BY FAR his biggest ever purse, and on top of that his dream has been granted, and he's been given his title shot which he has cried about for years.

As a fan, I think it is unprofessional. It’s a massive event and we are missing what would of been, a very interesting and fun build up. Whyte is depriving the fans of entertainment. The back and forth between him and Tyson and their teams would of been interesting, and very funny imo. I just hope he can perform on the night and make some ground back up with a cracking performance. It will be interesting to hear why he has decided to deaf the build up.
