Stub hub clearly overestimate demand every single fight do they. What nonsense.

You only need to look at photos and footage to see these ludicrous claims never hold up.

That's not surprising at all considering the differences in boxing fanbases between the UK and US

The UK is the place for HW boxing atm but forget the numbers sold, which has made more money in sales revenue? because from what I understand the US tickets are significantly priced higher than UK tickets.

They can do a lot with CGI these days mate. If you look closely at the Matchroom crowds you'll see that many of the rows have been added in later. The way to spot it is that they reuse characters from movies to save money. There are orcs and hobbits from LOTR, Aliens from Guardians of the Galaxy, ice giants from Thor etc. In reality there's only 7 real people in the crowd and they're only there because Eddie Hearn kidnapped their children and forced them to attend. If you can't see them next time just let me know and I'll send you a special tinfoil hat which will block the bad rays which Eddie Hearn emits from his malovelent moon face. Then you'll know the truth.

The UK is a boxing nation, the US isn't.

It isn't actually. It's rare to find people on a day to day basis in the real world that have more than a casual knowledge of it.

It's embarrassing how stupid people are here in the states. To all you UK fans, I apologize on their behalf. American boxing is not popular, because the best fighters like Wilder, all fight mismatches and bums. Take the welterweights for example. We have Thurman, Porter, Spence, Crawford and Garcia and NONE of these guys are lined up to fight each other. That's crap. Wilder is fighting a "not ready" Fury and the fight will be in front of a half empty arena and on a PPV that will tank. If guys stopped caring about their "0" and just put on great fights, people would show up in packed houses. Al Hamon has protecting his champions for years now and it has killed the sport here in the states. Meanwhile, in the UK, Hearn has been putting on Whyte vs Parker, Whyte vs Chisora, AJ vs Parker, Whyte, Klitschko, etc. If Al Hamon did that here, made Wilder fight against Miller or anyone decent, then people would show up and watch. But boxers today like to talk all the talk, avoid the big fight, then prance around like they are the greatest. That doesn't inspire people to watch OR spend their money.

Are you denying that there are at least hundreds of face value, non-resale tickets still available on SOLD-OUT Matchroom shows the night before every event?

It's just scalpers buying up the tickets to sell at an inflated price.

    Sponsored by Stubhub.

Chisora-Whyte is even, but seriously less significant and a 100% domestic level fight.

Wilder-Fury is two unbeaten champs fighting to prove who is #1 in the division. Big difference son.

Always worth noting ticket prices and PPV buys are significantly dearer in America. It would benefit the sport greatly in the states if both were reduced to UK level prices.

It'd have probably sold the same amount of tickets, probably more, if the fight was in the UK though tbf

The closer it's getting to the fight the more likely it seems this event is going to tank badly. In the last 2 weeks it doesn't look like they've sold many more tickets, there's still a ton of availability. Much like the Ortiz fight they'll need to give away a bunch of comp tickets to fill out the crowd. Some people are claiming they've only sold 7000 tickets so far, so there's still 2/3 of the tickets available.
