I'm Gen X. Born in '78. Was always a science/tech nerd as a kid, it's never left me, so watching tech develop has been exciting. I'm all in for it, always have been. Grew up a latchkey kid, out at all times, hanging out with a large group of friends. At times I think the 80's / 90's were a great time to grow up because the world was great. But, actually, it had problems then too. I think as long as you personally have a comfortable, safe, secure family life as a kid, you'll always look back on it fondly regardless of era. Anyway, eh, I see generational differences, but so much is dependent on what your parents are like, what your friends are like, what your school is like, etc. I'm not so down on the younger generation, there's some really bright kids out there with bright futures, but some parents aren't doing their jobs and then you get these weird kids who don't know how to socialize, how to speak to anyone in person, have that stare because they don't know how to speak to people in person, etc.
