If he managed to keep on the backfoot, yes 100% mate. I just dont think he has the reach and movement to go with his attack, to make it happen. If he managed to get through the first 4-5 rounds then he would have a good change, but unless Fury has destroted Wilder he would land early and at will v Joyce.
I’ve said this before but Wilder landed hard on Fury a few times in the second fight. Each time he was moving backwards and taking the sting out of the shot. There are probably less than a handful of heavyweights who have the IQ and the footwork to step in and out of range and ride the shots. Joyce would get chinned, as would Whyte, this version of Povetkin, Ruiz, Pulev etc etc.
Wilder V Joyce probably doesn't last more than 2 or 3 rounds. Either Joyce pulverises him on the front foot or he gets KTFO. Hard to call.
As I said, he’s relentless and a hard nights work for anyone. Wonder if the people who backed Whyte vs Joyce still feel the same now?
There isn't a Heavyweight that would enjoy a night in the ring with Joyce. That engine is ridiculous, his chin is decent and he moves his head enough when throwing to make it difficult to connect cleanly with a counter. Of course I'm no expert and everyone can be beaten but it's never going to be easy against Joyce and I've been one of his biggest critics at times.
I think Fury would beat him fairly easily - he’s just a bit better all round. I’d fancy Usyk against Joyce and probably AJ too.. but that could be really interesting stylistically and is the closest of the 3 I’ve highlighted above IMO. Aside from that, I think Joyce is right up there.
I’ve been a big critic of Joyce his past few fights. Been alarmed at just how much he’d been using his face to defend shots and the glacial speed that he throws shots. Seemed to have gone backwards with his technique and skill. Last night his footwork was brilliant, he wouldn’t let Dubois set his feet, and his jab was absolutely superb. On the eye test he deals with Whyte.
There is nothing that Dillian brings to a fight against Joe that joe can't handle. Joe would pump that jab out round after round and watch Dillian get busted up and quit in the same way that Dubois did. It would be like watching a reply of Joyce vs Dubois.
