We'd be happy that it bombed because it would then mean that future PPV's have to be better than that on paper otherwise Matchroom would assume that this is the new standard.
Which is a fair enough argument to have. The point is cutthroat would be posting about it as its all about boxing analysis with him.
I never said it will bomb, i always maintained it would do a minimum of 300K which any Hearn PPV Will do. However it still wasn't a PPV Fight and it sums up how much we get fleeced, that Dillian Whyte is now a PPV Fighter Hearn has said two PPV's still to come in Bellew v Usyk and Brook v Khan. So that is Six PPV's this year, 20X6= £120. So as a Boxing Fan with a Sky Sports Subscription, you would have to had to fork out a extra £120 a Year to get all the Boxing. Mate these people are laughing at you. All this talk about Yanks being charged $100. There's one PPV Fight in the States and that is Canelo-Golovkin2 which is mainly for the Mexican-American fans and costs $65-75. Who really gets mugged off ? A HBO or Showtime Subscription is $15. A Sky Sports Sub is £47.95...
Imagine chatting to some pals about who your favourite boxer is right now and then @Puroresu_Fan comes out with Eddie Hearn. “Did you see his performance at the press conference the other day?” Then they try to analyse the fight between Whyte and Parker and again he comes out with “but 400k buys guys, it’s all about the numbers”. Such a melt.
Can’t think of many who deserve it more than Whyte. Came up the hard way after the AJ loss and showed he didn’t just cash out. Browne n Parker (bare in mind most ppl write him off for both) are 2 good back to back fights. Took risks n prospered!
Does anyone know the rough split on this show or PPVs like this? Obviously PPV, gate, TV etc the show has grossed in excess of 20 million. How much of the 20 mil goes to each of Dillian, Parker, Matchroom, SKY etc?
