I'm not fun at parties because i don't think average fights are good? i don't see how that works, but each to their own
it was entertaining, if you weren't at all entertained by that fight, especially the ending then you must be miserable, it was a lot more entertaining than a lot of other big fights this year
or i just watch more boxing than you? it wasn't entertaining until the end, it was an okay fight. that's it. Maybe my standards are just higher
If ppv sales were 400k thats just under £8m, then around £1.2m on gicket sales, plus international tv sponsors your looking about spot on with your £10m. If you deduct £1m for cost of making event and pyrses (outside main event) then their is Skys cut which is reputed to be 50% of ppv money (4m). That leaves about 5m to both main events camps, minus Hearn who takes 20% of profits. So i would have am educated guess Whyte and Chisora earned about £2m each, though Parker would need to pay Higgins a cut from his share.
Agreed. Was a good fight but hardly spectacular up until the last two rounds. Parker was struggling visibly with his stamina.
Not for a buisness like Matchroom. Remember they need to get the fighter's trust. With the vast amount of fighters they have, 10% on every one of them will fluctuate. So for example ten percent on a Joshua fight, will be different to a ten percent on a Brook PPV etc Matchroom main income comes in from thwt Sky Sports Deal. How much do Sky pay Matchroom a Year, that is the real question ?
fans conditioned by boxing promoters to think and speak like boxing promoters, can only be great for the sport koogs
This isn't really anything to celebrate. It means every bog standard fight is going to be PPV. On Sky, we're probably looking at Bellew vs Usyk, Joshua vs Povetkin, Khan vs Brook and Whyte vs Chisora all being PPV before the year is out. Remember the days when there was only 1 or 2 PPV fights per year? ITV put the WBSS on PPV, BT will put Fury vs Wilder on PPV and even Hughie vs Parker was fecking PPV. Boxing is turning into a rich mans sport, selling it's soul like football has since Sky got their grubby hands on it.
just pay your telly subs on time and in full each month you little runt then you can moan to your hearts content
