I don't pay £50+ a month for a telly subscription. why should I feel pity for the genii who CHOOSE to spend their money on a telly subscription?
I don't think Whyte will be on PPV every fight now. He won't be made ppv unless he's fighting either Wilder or Joshua. This happened with Kell Brook when he fought Spence and GGG. He was put on PPV for both those two fights but now he's back on regular Sky unless the Khan comes about. It depends on the fight rather than the fighter. Someone like Joshua though would be on PPV regardless of who he fights. The rest like Whyte, Brook, Khan all can be ppv but only if they're facing top quality opposition.
They could have 100 PPVs in a year for all I care, I only pay for the ones I want to watch. The only thing that bothers me is that Sky hardly ever put on decent non-PPV cards now. I'm worried when BT get on the PPV bandwagon they'll be doing the same
Where’s my mate @Jurgen ? This subject is like porn to him, he’d have had a semi on by page 2 and reaching for a dirty sock by page 4.
It's all kicking off. Phil Rowe is booting BoxingABC1 right in the nutsack, and Wig and Mark McBarney are getting hysterical with eachother. All we need is Jurgen to wheel in and give everyone a palsied nickname and this entire thread would be PPV.
Jurgen' s currently being held In a padded cell underneath matchroom HQ taking a right royal rodgering from Frank smith whilst watching constant re runs of Bellew vs Cleverley.
It's getting to the point where the only non-PPV shows on Sky are the NXT shows or whatever Eddie "Triple H" Hearn calls them.
when someone has to throw insults to boost their argument, it is typically an indication of the opposite
That's good to hear. I watched all the fights later for free and I'm glad I didn't pay for the live Ppv because then as now, I don't think those fighters warrant ppv at this point in their careers
It just shows that Sky Sports know how to promote boxing. They've obviously taken a leaf out of the Mayweather-HBO/Showtime model in that as long as you keep the fighters profiles high and in the public conscience the interest will be there. 400,000 PPVs is very good for a fight that was supposed to bomb.
Yeah its a bit slow at the minute. Don't worry though I'm sure young Christopher will being back fighting soon, then you can resume virtually wanking him off all over the forum.
