Just seen the Whyte undercard ,what a stinker.... Why should we be responsible for making Whyte millions i just dont get it.....I remember his last fight ,Hearn said it had to be PPV coz Whyte wont fight for 400K !!! Why oh why is this happening I hope the whle AJ disaster has put things in perspective for Matchroom/SKY
If people deem the card worthy of paying 20 pounds on top of what they already pay for Sky then Whyte deserves the money and he’s a PPV fighter. If it doesn’t do well, which I’m sure it won’t, then Whyte has to accept he doesn’t deserve as much as he thinks. Let’s be fair though, to date the PPVs Whyte has headlined have done very well but mainly for reasons more than just him.
Have not paid for sky for few months (use now TV) so I can kinda justify paying 20 quid for this and get a few mates round to provide me with beer. Win, win!! I agree it's not a PPV worthy card with no marquee fight, but I like the card and am looking forward to all 3 HW bouts!!
I'll watch it at a later date. I only buy ppv if I feel it's really worth the money, otherwise I have to stick to my principles and only pay when the fighters are justified for needing extra revenue and not just because Eddie has us all "believing" Diliian Whyte & Dave Allen ain't ppv imo
Whyte vs Rivas is an interesting match up and I think it'll be an entertaining fight as will Chisora vs Szpilka Price vs Allen will be fun as well But never in a million ****ing years is this a £20 PPV. The 5th best HW against a guy who isn't top 10 and arguably isn't even a top 15 HW ?? PPV main event ?? Come off it.
The reason Hearn gave when he put Whyte Parker on PPV was because "he deserves it". Since then Whyte has not only overinflated his own financial worth but also overinflated his own ability. He's put himself in the same bracket as AJ, Fury and Wilder in terms of drawing power and rankings. The reason why Sky and Matchroom dont mind putting him on PPV is because the cards get stacked from top to bottom to support Whyte and the PPV numbers end up coming out as decent. This has given Whyte the delusion though that he definitely is a PPV fighter and he should be paid PPV type money. I do like Whyte but he's not a PPV fighter at all, nor is he in the elite of heavyweights. He's in the 2nd tier somewhere.
I used to pay for most of the PPVs, even the ones I disagreed with them being PPV. I won't be buying this one, but I will be watching. I have a new platform set up now for watching telly. Let's just say my neighbours have new big windows too.
Even more annoyed this is PPV now as have come down with a cold in this lovely British summer weather and can’t go out which is what I’d usually do. This just shouldn’t be PPV, would be a great Saturday night card and that’s what it should have been.
