PPV for "non world title" fights.
PPV for fights that are more 'domestic level ' than world level.
PPV for virtually any half-decent heavyweight fight, it seems.
PPV has become standard. Even the promoter Eddie Hearn can only offer an explanation that the fighters won't fight now unless it's PPV.

35 year old Dereck Chisora with a 29-8 record headlining a PPV.

But it's not just SKY, of course.
ITV PPV for Eubank Jr !
And now BT Sport are in on the act too.

PPV for non world title fights? Really? Khan Prescott was for a world title? That was more than ten years ago? What about Audley v Rogan? Brook v Jennings? These are old fights and definitely were PPV fights. Hatton v Lazcano if you want another.

Simple - fans are fed up of being used as the Hearn families cash cow - people could put up with the odd big title fight, but not every half decent match up ... & Hearn is the worst offender by far.

So far this year on PPV we have had 2 finished fighters with next to no chance of winning
    1. Eubank v De Gale
    2. Crawford v Can

Coming up we have 3 pay per puddings
    3. Tyson Fury v Pudding Schwarz
    4. Pudding Whyte v Pudding Rivas
    5. Tony Dosh PPV v Rice Pudding Ruiz Jnr

All marketed as fights between elite fighters at the top of their game yet the informed know every one of these fights were/are pony.

Yet somehow we have a fantastic WBSS card in Glasgow with comparable seats about 1/3 of the Pudding Whyte card and not PPV.

Cannot understand why the cohort of PPV mugths are so thick being rogered time and again.

If Eh Day told them to eat shyte for a diet, they would not question him.

I knew this would happen. People just can't be assed moaning about PPV anymore. Hearn has successfully lowered the standards.

Fans are buying PPV's in record numbers. The same people on here moaning about PPV's represent essentially nothing when Joshua is shifting a million every fight.

For anyone moaning about the standard of Matchroom PPV's I'd invite them to consider what Warren served up ten years ago.

And people have been moaning for 10 years or more.

SKY was awful 10 years ago, and if I remember rightly, SETANTA was putting on a lot of the better quality stuff.
I'm sure many of those SKY PPVs failed miserably back then and soon after SKY BOX OFFICE went into retreat.

    It's not good now either.

Stop bringing up these shite Warren PPVs from years ago
They were pony we know it
So because todays offering are slightly better people should not moan?
    Stupid logic
Keep quiet in any area of life and you get walked over.. Fact

The casual audience will move along at some point and promoter's will be left with us mainly
    Then what do they do?
Yea we will all still be herecwatching but stick your 20 quid where the sun don't shine
    Or ill buy a pizza

Good in what sense? The PPV's are better and unlike Frank, (who had to bankrupt his own company and avoid paying fighters) Hearn appears to be raking it in. I know the conspiracy theorists on here seem to think all the figures are faked but I'm not so sure.

    It was.

I bring it up when people start crying about how bad PPV's are these days.

Said it before, say it again. We (the UK) are on the arse end of the wave of boxing popularity the '12 Olympics ignited.
