Yeah he did but Kabayel seems quite slick which isn’t the same attributes that Joyce will bring but still if Joyce stopped him or dominated him I would be impressed.
I saw Usyk make a fool out of Joyce..............Usyk is only 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighed a lot less, but he ran circles around Joyce, totally out classed him...............
This. There’s no clear winner. Both have terrible flaws. I’m leaning towards Whyte at the moment, can’t see what everyone’s talking about with Joyce. Might have something to do with Haye over hyping him too much or the general opinion on here on him, but I’m confused with what I see and hear about Joyce
I’m underwhelmed by what I’ve seen of Joyce albeit I haven’t seen loads of his fights so I’ll reserve my final judgement.
Yes, Joyce doesn't impress me much either. But he is still a better boxer than Whyte, and if Whyte doesn't hurt him Joyce should win a decision.
Very early in Joyce's career so it's hard to judge how well he'd do as he's still an unknown quantity. But from a style perspective I favour Joyce. Whyte is nothing special, Chisora showed he can be easily backed up and put under pressure and Joyce does like to just relentlessly pound away at guys til they fold. He's bigger, hits harder and can set a pace Chisora is unable to and some thought Chisora beat Whyte. If Whyte is to win he needs to be able to stop Joyce ploughing forward and walking him down. He doesn't have the footwork for it so he needs to be able to hurt Joyce and punish him when walking in. If Whyte can't discourage Joyce then he's in trouble.
Joe Joyce by UD or TKO. Joyce is much better than he looks, he is a very awkward fighter. His style and movement is like a mix of martial arts, capoeira and boxing, it looks a bit strange, but has been very effective throughout his career. When combined with his constant movement and pressure, he is a juggernaut so to speak. The only troubling thing I have noticed of Joyce at the moment is that he seems to operate at one constant speed throughout the whole fight. Its hypnotic, but also a weakness. Id like to see him mix it up a bit, picking up and dropping gears, fainting throughout the fight. A good skilled fighter will pick and time his movement in the future and he will become unstuck. But not Whyte, I think Joyce could take him. His boxing skills are too good, and Whyte's power is too weak.
