Although i rate Ortiz, he is old. I don't know if he can KO Whyte in 5 or 6. From now on Whyte only gets stronger and MIGHT stop Ortiz. Whyte gets the decision because the fight would be in UK.
You did not refute my statement that you cannot pick your eliminator to earn mandatory status, not did you refute my statement that Whyte needed a lenient ref to finish against Parker, hence I assume you agree.
I just saw on facebook where its advertised for the 22nd of December. So its on! Good fight. Cant wait for December.
Im going for Whyte on this one but that Ortiz is very very good. Ortiz would have to be the favourite.
The other side to this is that Dillian Whyte has absolutely every right to feel robbed by the fact that he has to now go through another opponent to get there. Guy has done more than enough to deserve a shot already and now has another risky fight to take on to get there after what must seem like countless promises that "This one gets you there". I'd be sceptical that this one isn't just another lie. It's like he's not allowed into the little circle of challengers and champions, whatever he does
Whyte throws about 60 punches a round. Last time Ortiz threw even close to that in just one round, he gassed badly and was stopped shortly after. In fairness to Whyte, both he and Parker had only 6 weeks to prepare for that fight, which is why both of them struggled throughout the fight at times. Ortiz at 40 doesnt have half the endurance/stamina of Whyte, hes got to finish him early.
Yeah, but if he beats Ortiz as well, he will make anyone look like a fool or a ducking coward for refusing to face him, and people will be calling Wilder/Fury out on it. Hell, after beating Ortiz and Parker, hell be a champion in his own right.
No. We just don't think that Whyte is any better. You spout cringey hyperbole to make it look differently, but the truth is that we wonder why nobody else would fight King Kong. You think the same about Whyte. So let em get after it and we'll all see how stupid the UK contigent is.
You did not refute my statements either so I assume you also agree in regards to Wilder which of course dismisses the validity of your statements. So by agreeing with you I prove you are wrong, lol.
Lol facebook isn't exactly the most reliable source for news, fake news created by Russian bots yes but genuine news nope not even close. I've seen articles too about this fight happening but it's all just going over what we already know, nothing has been confirmed.
True not since the labours of Hercules have we seen someone have to run through such a gauntlet of hurdles to secure his prize and even if he fights and beats Ortiz we all know he still has to wait, until Breazeale has his shot as he's the true mandatory and that might only happen after 2 or 3 Fury fights. Best bet is he gets a shot in 2020 as mandatory. But even then what is 2nd Mandatory it's not exactly a term used in the WBC's rules, it's a meaningless fictional ranking by the WBC. We actually don't know what it means for Whyte. Does it secure him a mandatory shot after Breazeale like we all presume or does that mean he needs to fight someone else to become first mandatory? WBC could keep Whyte running around in circles until he retires and not get his shot.
