Call me a mug and pour coffee in me. £20 for a nights entertainment is sound (it could even be a bit cheaper?). How much is the cinema these days? About £12 or something. 4 pints in the local. Half a dominoes. It’s not like it’s the US where we are paying 70/80/90/100 dollars.

Quite astonishing Parker has been on 3 consecutive PPVs imo

The Hughie one doesn’t count! The other one is AJ, the third won’t be a stand alone PPV. We’re expecting a stacked card here.

This is a good Saturday fight night main event but not PPV worthy IMO, not unless he has some decent names on the undercard in competitive fights but I doubt we will see any of his big names fighting on an undercard in dangerous fights.

As for the match up stylistically, I fear it could turn into a bore of a fight, both guys will respect each other and try to box and not get involved in a tear up IMO.

Kell Brook will probably be on the card.

Exactly mate, this is the way I look at it. Take the Mrs to Cinema and watch some biz film for two hours, by the time you've bought snacks you're in for well over £20. A nights boxing and a takeaway instead and you're in for £30, I know which I'd rather do. Not to mention if you get a mate or two round and split the cost it's peanuts.

I'm a big streamer as well, always have been. But when it comes down to boxing PPV I don't like to risk a stream cutting out and missing pivotal moments so I buy the PPV. Speak to my Mrs and she will tell you I am a right tight fisted sod as well, end of the day I'm a boxing fan so what's £20 or so every few months? People need to stop moaning, boxing is in a good place right now especially when you consider it was in real danger of being over taken by UFC at one point...

Both to be respected for taking the fight. I hope we don't get the usual chaff of writing either off because they lost. This is a tough fight for both and either shouldn't lose credit if they lose.

I agree. I think as long as it's a decent fight the loser won't lose too much credibility. Think if one gets sparked early it might not be great for them and if it's a bore fest the loser might be on the back burner for a while. They need to put on a decent show and the rest should take care of itself

Idiots like you are the problem. This fight has no MEANING, no world title at stake, fake feuds, it dosent do anything to warrant PPV. PPV is for World Title fights, Parker has stunk the place out for the last two fights, Whyte is garbage too. Whyte v Helanius and Whyte v Chisora confirmed that. I dont mind paying for the Joshua fights or Khan-Brook(Domestic Rivalry) but this is garbage. Why cant you understand they will just carry on reducing the quality on PPV Cards, it wont be long until fights like Brook v Rabchenko will be standard PPV. The price is rising too, they raised it from 16.95 to 19.95. Mugs

Thats not the point though, many people already pay through the nose for sports channels and boxing fans are always the ones expected to fork out more for mediocre fights. PPVs were meant to make superfights possible. Its ridiculous and as a boxing fan why do you buy into it? Dillian whyte a headline ppv! what has boxing come to?

the football equivalent is putting Watford v West ham on PPV

Zzzzz. On a different day I'd rise to this but fortunately you've caught me on a day where I can't be bothered arguing. I said in a different post, I understand how people feel about it but times are changing. To make certain fights the money needs to be there and if it needs to be generated via PPV sales then so be it. I'm not really bothered. £20 every now and again, it's not exactly breaking the bank is it. Not to mention I get sky sports via a family members Skygo account on my Xbox account which saves me A few hundred a year....an idiot I ain't. Boxing is my number 1 sport so I don't mind paying to watch it and I'll pay for every single PPV as longas I'm enjoying it fella. Lifes too short for moaning about everything, I'd rather spend my time and money on things i enjoy. Thanks for your thoughts though.

If you don't want to pay 20 quid, which is measly at the end of the day, DON'T.

Nobody us forcing you to, and Hearn has no obligation to put this fight on free TV.

This is two top 5 heavyweights facing off in one of the best fights you could make at heavyweight outside of belt holders.

In New Zealand, EVERY parker fight is PPV, even the meehan fight was, his purse is going to cost hearn at least a couple of million quid I'd say and he will have to be paying white decent bank plus he just said its going to have a stacked undercard.

Personally I'm happy to be getting a really good heavyweight fight, and i think its worth 20 quid which again, isn't exactly big money. If that makes me a "mug" sobeit but remember, nobody is forcing you to buy it.
