I think Whyte may slip up here and get stopped. Parker knows he can hang with whyte, this isn't a monster puncher like AJ that parker needs to be cautious of and whyte wont be running for 12 rounds like fury he comes to fight and will be there to hit! parkers speed and jab will make the difference and he'll be happy to take one to land two of his both fighters are highly ranked with wbc, wbo, and ibf, will hearn make this another eliminator? good fight either way. parker via ko around the 8th
It is a great match up, really difficult to pick a winner but im riding with our boy Whyte all the way! Both men know how important this fight is and will both be up for it. Imo Whyte has been improving in every fight...yes Browne was awful but Whyte put in a great display and the finish was devastating. I like Parker too, seems like a good bloke..im going for Whyte by SD. Will be a close competitive fight and i can't wait.
Parker has more upside and he's overdue a good performance. I could see Parker knocking out Chisora, Helenius and Browne whereas I don't think Whyte beats Ruiz jr or Takam. Parker late stoppage or points.
Edging to Parker but i do have to say that White is improving all the time although the White going back to AJ was garbage in boxing terms. He had heart and some toughness but not much more, technicaly he was pisss poor, stiffed legged and out of shape. He really did get a gift in the payday he got vs AJ, although its also right to say AJ was gifted all his paydays up to Klit imo but thats another story. White has now earned his place in the top 10 in the div. Hes worked hard, the past 2 yr and he is a fighting man. I dont particularly like him, he talks a load of garbage but i do wish him well. The winner of this desrves a shot at AJ
I think it's only Whyte's last performance against Browne where his long term conditioning work at Loughborough has really started to pay off. Only 7 amateur fights and no world class level diet and conditioning plus a shoulder injury prior to the AJ fight has really held him back. His shoulder is now right and everything else is clicking into place. I think Whyte's body punching is potentially his weapon/route to beating the current champions and I think Mark Tibbs knows this and is very underrated himself. I think this is Whyte's time and he KO's Parker by round 8.
Im sorry but you cant take anything from the Browne fight. Browne was an absolute slobby mess and slower than any boxer i have seen, Butterbean would have beaten Browne that night. Im still not convinced about Whyte but at the same time Parker has disappointed over the last couple of years. Very interesting fight and i hope the winner can do it in style.
I am being realistic mate - nearly all these PPV fights have been stinkers and I simply cannot take to Parker after turning up for the AJ conference dressed like an Accountant and fighting like two pussies over a dead mouse. That view is based on watching his previous 6 fights mate and I can easily see another Hughie 'The Skirt' Fury or AJ stinker here again.
Hopefully Whyte smashes him but I remain to be convinced that Whyte is any better than Euro level at best
Yeah im with you on the AJ fight, saw him live for the first time against Parker and whilst the actual fight may not have been the most exciting the whole evening was amazing! Definitely want to do it again...fingers crossed its against Wilder.
