As I understand, this is to combat the loss of Eggington-Cook. Given the notice, Allen will be massively out of shape and Webb likely not prepared properly either. If the main event ends up being drab (which it shouldn't) this is going to destroy Hearn's Twitter mentions
Not even close Khan-McCloskey Bellew-Cleverly 2 Haye-Harrison Haye-Valuev There are others too that I can't remember off the top of my head.
The state of this card is annoying. My other half is on nights, there is 0 on TV. So every reason to buy it. But do not want to encourage it at all. Even if it was remotely decent I probably would have ended up buying.
Fair point with the other 3 but at least the Bellew cleverley night had Joshua, groves, c. Smith, degale and quigg on the card. The khan/mccloskey one prob worst ever but this is up there
I’m off to Tenerife on Friday. Already planted the seed with my missus about heading out to watch it. It’s a potentially great fight. You could put a case forward for both fighters.... Whyte is on a winning run, full of confidence & he’s in good shape. I like him, but I just can’t let go of the idea that he couldn’t put Allen, Lewison or Helenius away and went life and death with Chisora. I want him to prove me wrong, I want to get excited about him potentially being a genuine world title contender. The Usyk v Gassiev fight got me thinking...Gassiev noted Usyk’s amateur pedigree and the experience he had gained from that. He could adapt mid-fight. Whyte doesn’t have any amateur pedigree...he’s a fighter through and through. I just feel Parker’s experience and boxing ability will see him through.
