There were rumours that Hearn has secured a title shot vs Parker for Whyte, so I question the legitimacy of this injury. There was also rumours that tickets werent exactly flying off the shelf.

Either way if the Parker story is true, this is an actual masterstroke by Hearn given that the Fury's have already refused to fight Whyte is the past.

    Thoughts?

I agree, likely to be ticket sale related to be honest. Better for Hearn and co if they have got the Parker fight instead of course

Always thought it was strange having Whyte headline an O2 show. Whyte just isn't that popular to run a show like that unless its the right opponent.

Injury to the box office most likely. He not big enough to headline at the o2

Matchroom never even had a press conference for Whyte v Wach which makes me think they were always going to double up with the July show

Really disappointing but I had a feeling something like this would happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Whyte Vs Chisora II is announced in a few weeks LOL

Well let's see. Kell Brook v GGG did good numbers and he has Brook v Spence. Brook v Khan will always be an option or if Brook wins Kell v Pacquiao.

Bellew v Haye did good numbers. He still has Bellew v Haye 2 as an option. If Groves wins there is Groves v Degale.

Doesn't sound like a one trick pony to me.

That awful Birmingham Card on Sat is the standard Matchroom pony now - the rot has set in.

The odd PPV fights are good but most of them have been Pony as well.
