Whyte vs Wallin - Called off!

I think Fury is hoping the WBC is making him franchise champion. He has been wearing that WBC hat, the WBC suit, he has been promoting the WBC hard.

 

Not really surprising is it.

They thought AJ would come through Usyk leaving the door open to an undisputed fight next year so a 1 or 2 fights like this would keep Whyte busy whilst against credible opponents.

Usyk has then thrown a spanner in the works.

Common sense from Whyte really. He got bingo'd by Povetkin which stopped him right in his tracks and then had go through another training camp to put that result right which he duly did. Why risk it again against a good opponent when your very next in line ?

 

Any chance of a late replacement for Ducklian Whyte vs Wallin?

No doubt too short notice, albeit Vitali stepped in to face Lewis with a week's notice. Maybe Whyte could send in his boy Babic where he was too scared to tread? Babic Wallin, get it on.

 

Babic? No, Wallin is a different beast than Molina. Hes not ready for that type of fight yet. Molina would have got sparked tho.

 

Wallin v Fury too would have been interesting.
