There's a reason Whyte ducked the fight before. He didn't want to jeopardize his back payday against Fury.
Understandable, it is about Dosh for the most part. At the time of the possible fight between Wallin & Whyte I had then, a close fight and fancied Wallin to beat Whyte. If Wallin ( or even Chisora from his last fight) fought Whyte last night they both beat him, IMO.
Looks like a very smart business decision to duck Wallin for Whyte now, who hasn’t been anything more than a glorified but mediocre fringe contender ever since the UKAD/Dianabol/missing B sample incident.
I'd still like to see it, moreso than Joshua-Whyte II. That rematch is an acceptable bounceback bout for Joshua, but seems a foregone conclusion in competitive terms. Wallin-Whyte would be perceived as more of a finely poised matchup, in addition to giving Wallin a chance to add to the notice he gained from the Fury bout (a chance Hearn and Whyte should feel obligated to grant him).
