So Fury and Arum are offering Whyte 25% to fight on BT/ESPN and Whyte is refusing, but he still only gets 25% if it goes to purse bids? What's the point of Whyte making such a big deal out of this, if he's only going to get 25% anyway?
He's not even in the same conversation on that front as Fury. Most people with even a passing interest in the sport are aware of who Fury is. Realistically only boxing fans know Dillian Whyte and UK ones at that.
I know...thing is if Whyte and his team refuse the offer that a dumb duck because he will never get that kind of money elsewhere...he must think(mainly Hearn ie his promoter) that if he think he got a chance of beating Fury afterwards he can get alot of money by milking the belt.
Because he thinks he's a bigger name than he is and can make demands. In reality he he has no sway whatsoever.
I’m not picking a side, I just hope they come to an agreement to fight next. I feel this fight would be huge and carry a lot of hype.
Tnx for this numbers. If we look at the trend of these figures, his PPV numbers are on a massive and steady decline. Thats just in the UK. In USA - Whyte is a complete unknown.
£10m guaranteed is the sort of ludicrous demand you make when you have no intention of ever doing a deal. It's no wonder a lot of promoters refuse to do business with Hearn.
Also, the idea that Fury would duck somebody who went life and death with Chisora. Got Knocked down by Rivas. KTFO by Povetkin is frankly ridiculous.
It's the thing you do when you want it to go to pursebids. The thing Fury/Arum desperately want to avoid. So he's just forcing their hand, with him holding all the cards. Only factor which can still influence this in Fury/Arum's favor is the WBC once again breaking their own rules.
