People talking as if Povetkin is now some sort of walkover job.... ?? He might not be the force he was a few years back but he's still a dangerous fighter.... he gave AJ periods of trouble and Michael Hunter is a good fighter. Whyte will have a problem on his hands.
He should stop him, not sure it'll be that early though. Pov showed he's still got something to give against Hunter but those 12 rounds would have taken a lot out of him
Oh, I remember Eddie Neilson. But I'm having real trouble with the concept of an "elite version" of him.
Povetkin actually finishes fights strong. Whyte not so much. If Whyte shows any stamina issues again, it might be a long night for him.
I agree just saying whyte will dispatch of povetkin in a brutal fight but will get the job done in 6 or less
It's almost as if this board did not see whytes last fight. He was overrated to begin with but hes shot to pieces now I don't even see him as dangerous. I fully expect povetkin to win this fight by UD
The saying in boxing "you're only as good as your last fight" Definitely applies here. Taking Povetkins age into account(always a worry he becomes totally old over night) I see no way one could pick Whyte based on his last few outings. An older Povetkin is still significantly better than Wach, Rivas or Chisorsa - Whyte didn't impress in any of those outings. Povetkin is still a consimate pro always training hard and taking care of himself, that has definitely mitigated his natural decline to a certain extent. Whyte on the other hand is never consistent and if we're going to take Povetkins age into account we certainly have to take that into account as well. At the end of the day In going with the more proven fighter.
Rarely, only if I want to post something and I'm super tired in bed. I have long fingers and I don't like typing on my phone. Nine times out of 10 I'm usually on my PC typing though.
