You know someone has lost a fight when the path to success is people parroting "left hook"

It's even worse than parroting "right hand" for Wilder.

But Wilder's right hand is 20x more devastating because he can throw it straight, far and fast!

Even if that hook hits Fury he'll take it on the dome and ask for more. Fury eats left hooks for breakfast.

Great punch, great timing, the instincts of a serious career just jumping out at the perfect moment - Pov might have been borderline shot, but that right there is why you never underestimate top class fighters, especially at heavyweight.

Fury has never been that kind of concussive puncher though - assuming he wins, I'd expect it to be points or TKO rather than a single top class punch like that one.

yup Fury is accumulation, if he deals with Whyte in under 6 that's a mighty performance.

That was also probably the best uppercut I've ever seen live.

Not necessarily - as Fury proved, when you only have the one big punch and it relies on the "far" bit, all you have to do is deny your man the room to throw it... Easier said than done, but doable.

Whyte's got more than just the one powerful punch, and he doesn't need so much space and time that you're guaranteed to get the telegraph first.

Whyte's much closer to a complete package than Wilder, and his power has been shown against guys with proven solid chins whilst Wilders has not.

Fury won't be so blasé about it and nor will any sane fan.

Was a remarkable punch unique to povetkin, testament to his explosiveness, positioning, class.

prior to that KO however Whyte was winning and beating Povetkin down.

I don't know about unique, but it's the sort of thing not just any old fighter could pull out at that age and under pressure.

Yep, so not buying this “left hook” stereotyping. Its certainly his best weapon. But he stumbled A fresh Chisora in round 1 of rematch with a cross, and Rivas in round 2 with a cross. And those guys are so muscle bound and thick-necked with durable resilient chins.

Whytes jab has always been effective, varies the speed, keeps opponents at bay, disrupts their rhythm, scores points, deals damage and as Haye said Whytes jab is few inches longer than you expect it to be and it catches you.

parker has already remarked at how hard whyte hits from all punches not just left hook. And I know Whytes body shots are very strong because you can see opponents like AJ really tense up, breather heavier, and put a poker face on while returning his own body shot out of frustration.

Wilder has success against Fury with body shots in round one, they just werent anywhere near as whilping as Whytes are.. who will dish it out every round.
