Why Bernard ????? Why do you want to get KO'd before you leave the game. Your legacy will be tarnished ..... and why ........ you CANT BEAT Pavlik.
Tarnished because he took on the best middleweight in the world ? I don't think so. Plus, he does have a good chance in beating him. Anything can happen in boxing.
Never count Bernard out. Odds are against him, sure, but if anybody can screw up Pavlik's gameplan, it's Hopkins.
It looks to me that Bernard is begging to get KO'd to convince his self that he's done and drop the obvious addiction. As long as he's doing good in the ring then he will always fight, even if he loses by decision Saturday night he will continue, especially if it's a close one.
Well lets see...why would B'hop take this fight: (1) he has a very good chance to win, (2) he always fights the best, (3) perfect opportunity to earn another crack a joe, (4) adds another worth reading chapter to his HOF career, (5) oh yeah, the $$$....but other than that I see no reason why B'hop should take this fight
Also to prove doubters like you what a legend he is and what he is capable of at his age. And to earn a place among the 10 greatest fighters of all time.
Don't count out the old man yet, he definitely has a chance to win. And even if he does lose I don't think he will get stopped - if things should go wrong for Bernie, the old fox will pull every trick in the book to make the fight a stinker and last the distance. Also, don't forget that Hopkins is still a tough mother****er who'se never even been close to being stopped, and only knocked down by Mercado...
Dont bet against Hopkins - he ran Calzaghe close & JC is better than Pavlik, I actually pick Hopkins by close decision in this one.
Beating Pavlik wont earn B-Hop a top 10 spot of all time, dont be mental, he still falls short of Hagler at MWT & Marv would do very well to make top 10. :thumbsup
