Far from perfect, but the most consistent one with their rules from what I saw is the IBF. They dont have ultra champion, mega champion, cool champion, chilly bling bling champion, etc.
IBF for the simple fact that they KEEP 1 champ per division. WBC Emertius WBC (Full) WBC (Interm) WBC (Silver, which is to replace interm but they still have interm champs) WBC Diamond. WBC "in Recess" Champ (Rojas in the FW division)3 = 6 champs per division WBA WBA Super WBA Regular WBA Interm WBA "In recess" = 4 champs per division WBO WBO SUPER WBO (full) WBO Interm = 3 champs per division IBF IBF (FULL) = 1 champ per division **** i have even seen a Interm IBO champ. They only thing the IBF does fuk'd up is strip their champs for BS mandos. not hard to see who be on bUUUULLLLLLLLSHSHHHHHHHHH with their titles.
Thats why the WBC gets more recognition worldwide, cause they show their WBC titles more than any other organization. The IBF hardly gets any recognition now a days, cause they're trying to keep things simple. What's bad for boxing, is good for business Whats good for boxing, is bad for business. Its a give-n-take situation.:-(
http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Category:World_Champions_By_Weight_Class I love how the WBA has 2 or 3 champions for nearly every division.
IBF - Positive - No 'Interim' belt holders Positive - No 'Silver' belt holders Positive - No 'Regular / Super' belt holders Positive - No 'Diamond' / 'Emeritus' / 'In Recess' belt holders Have to face Top 15 rated fighter to gain No.1 mandatory challenger position. Voluntary defences have to be against Top 15 rated fighter. Enforce a mandatory once every 9 months, otherwise stripped of title (and has been done) Good enough for me! :good
None... That being said, I hold the Ring Champion in higher regard in most cases. Ya they have their problems too but I find them to be the best of the bunch personally.
WBC has the history but now it also has to all silly joke titles. Cliche but true - the fighter makes the belt not the other way around.
