Wicky Hatton......take note of Chris Hoy

Whether this is old or not it is true.

I like Hatton but he isn't convincing me with this "one of the lads image" at all. I'm not stupid.

This third person talk really stinks of somebody "up their own arse" it really does and I wish he'd stop it.

 

How many multi page threads have we had on here over the years on this Hatton "third person" BS? Is it REALLY that big a deal?

 

Exactly!

Hopkins does it, Jones Jnr does it, Floyd Mayweather does it, damn even David Haye does it and he sometimes refers to himself as the Hayemaker.

But it seems people onoly want to bring it up when Ricky Hatton says it.

 

I see no problem with people harping on bout hatton saying the same old ****...Hopkins has other *****s in his personality that over ride his third person bollox, such as being a pretty blatant racist.Jones just gets called chinny and a cherry picker, mayweathers just a tool full stop.Haye dont belong with this lot, he's talkin the talk and walkin the walk imo.Theres also something not very sincere bout hatton, i've seen it a couple of times.As for his chat show, i cant ****in stomach it.But as they say, theres horses for courses

Precisely. All a load of bollocks IMO. People can carp and snipe at his public persona, but I have yet to speak to a single person who has met him who thinks he's anything other than a genuine lad and a great guy - including the family of the ill little lad who he has befriended and takes to all his fights.

If the worst that can be said for the guy is that he speaks about himself in the third person then it hardly makes him the antichrist does it? Plenty of fighters do it as mentioned above. I'm not sure about the psychology of it all, but have heard something about it being a way of distancing themselves outside the ring from the vicious fighter they are inside it. Anyway, if it really does annoy you that much (Betty, TFFP, whoever) then just don't read or watch his interviews. Stop boring us all by posting protest threads every time it happens!

 

Ive met him twice and he is a quality guy.

 

I've never met Hatton but I've met friends/ aquaintances of his and they all say what you see is what you get with Hatton. If he was really as big a **** as some people would like to believe the rumours and stories would soon get out.

 

I met him briefly at a charity event and he was a really nice lad.

 

Now if theres someone who irritates me more than Ricky Hatton, its Chris Hoy.

 

Why Dunky? He seems an OK bloke (not that I've seen much of him outside the Olympics)

Hes not the slightest bit interested in his own country, hes more interested in hanging about London picking up plaudits, ass kissing the monarchy & kissing Lewis Hamiltons ass.

The man turned his back on the scottish football team, says we didnt need him! Just seen an ad with him in it today, with a big union Jack draped behind him. He aint interested in being scottish, hes happier trawling London & calling himself a 'brit' whatever that is. England can keep his sorry ass as far as Im concerned.

At least Hatton is proud of his own country, seen him recently on SSN wearing an England rugby top. & I respect all patriots be they scots, english irish or welsh. What I cant stand though is scotsmen turning their back on their own country, so they can be 'british' Whats Britain anyway?
