I find that statement quite amusing. Of course it matters, although being a Wlad fan it makes perfect sense for you to say that.

Being undefeated is a big deal, if you can't be undefeated, then making sure you avenge all the loses on your record is the next best thing.

Lewis' performances vs Holyfield beat anything Tyson's ever done.

Wlad is the true champ only in your blind nuthugging head.
    Vitali KO1Wlad.
Make a thread asking if Wlad is THE TRUE CHAMP and let's see you get owned in ther etoo by the truth.
Wlad ain't no champ as long as his brother is fighting or until he beats all the contenders not the bums

Wlad is a title holder. Lennox Lewis was the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World - you see the difference there?

:rofl:patsch Holy: beats the man at heavy. Lennox completely outskills the hw considered the best technician at the time. Maybe Holy's no longer what he was, but he was on a very big, very impressive roll.

Michael Grant. The coming of the next great hw. not favourite, but lots of money on him. Lewis absolutely annhilates him. great performance.

Botha. wasn't that just abouttwo months later? hardl a Brian London-type defenc, and Lennox stopped him with great power.

Tua. Not the most exciting fight, but a masterclass in dominating the slugger. My favourite Lennox performance, and pretty much confirmed that no legiimate contender could touch him.

Rahman. The bad side of Lennox: far too arrogant, can baely breathe after poor training. Rematch: the great side of Lennox, backs his abilities to the hilt, shows great mental bravery, and produces the most impressive elite level KO of the past decade.

Tyson: very over the hill, but Lennox has to fight him cos otherwise he's a chicken.

VK: takes on a much tougher opponent at short notice. At 38, out of shape takes the biggest punches of his career, rides them out and pinpoints the cut that he did rather fortuntely get with the grazing punch. Losing on points? Please, itwas only by two points and it was the sixth round, not the 10th. Plus, all three cards had different rounds for Vitali, yet the same 38-36 scorecard, suggesting that there were very sunjective rounds (I had it 37-37). Fabulous performance, by a fighter who clearly had aged in the ring overnight.

Avoid his mandatory? Pathetic. He took on the much more revered Grant than fight mandatory Ruiz. That's not avoiding. He didn't fight the light punching Byrd, but instead fought VK, though it's fair to say he chose Kirk. That's not avoiding.

Sorry, that's the reign of ne of the most dominant heavies in the history of the sport.

And look at the number of title fights and the number of very good - even if not legendary - opponents and check out the overall KO percentage. That is a powerful, hugely talented champion. :fire:fire

Widow is so ****ing blind its even pointless referring to him.

If Lewis's title reign is not impressive what shall we call Wladimir's? Non-existent perhaps? How can you try to criticize the length and quality of somebodies reign, and then defend a guy to the hilt when he has never even achieved one defence of the heavyweight title?

    Clown ass.

Give me a list of your top 15 heavyweights of all time. Let's see how many of them have zero unavenged losses on their record. I will be amazed if there is more than 2 or 3 on your list of the top 15. Get my point? Not everyone even gets an opportunity to avenge a loss, because not every fighter is willing to give a rematch. Kind of like how Lewis didn't give Vitali a rematch... see what I mean? Avenging a loss is great... but only makes sense if both guys are still at the top of the division when it happens. Also, it doesn't take away the losses that you have.

Let's get something strait Junior, you never " owned " anybody on this board, least of all me. Despite your efforts at distorting things that I said out of shear bitterness that you had been schooled, other posters who ACTUALLY SAW THE CONVERSATION UNFOLD, read right through your bull****, and called you on it. I don't see anyone coming to your rescue right now. Oh, maybe its because I'm telling the truth, and you just made an ass out of yourself.

P.S. if you ever want to take me on in open forum in a debate, I'll be more than happy to do it directly, and we can both choose a select group of posters to judge the course of it.

That is just how you refer to it. However... you must also consider that Wlad is only 32. Lennox was older than 32 when he became the unified Champ. I am not in here comparing Wlad and Lewis... you are. You guys can't seem to talk about Lennox Lewis without talking about Wladimir Klitschko. It's odd.

I know, it is a travesty. Lennox beat Vitali, by punching Vitali in the face and messing it up bad, how ****ed up is that? Throwing punches - what a a way to win a boxing match, it's a disgrace man. :nut
