Yes but as you said the other day in the WALDO V Lewis poll..."polls prove nothing"

Except when they agree with you, obviously?

Surely Tyson's career had more flaws that you are choosing to ignore than did Lennox Lewis.........?

i just don't see how you can have tyson above lewis, i can understand you thinking holyfield but tyson no way.
I have hoyfield below lewis at heavyweight but well above him in a p4p sense.

Tyson and Lewis are, imo, very close. I rate Tyson slightly higher on the grounds of his dominance, the WAY he blew away the opposition when he was at his peak. And, he was never taken out early by second-rate fighters. That, to me, is a MAJOR black mark.

It took ten rounds before Tyson succumbed. He stood up to tons of punishment instead of being blasted out early. Plus, it only happened once when Tyson was even near his prime.

But as I've said, it's close. It depends on what you look for, how you rate greatness. Getting blasted out early by mediocre fighters is about the worst thing that can happen to a fighter, it indicates a complete lack of competitiveness against substandard opposition.

I noticed a total lack of ham and eggs in that post, so I'm dismissing it :bart

I remember that too, and it was unwarranted. Most Americans didn't like him because he was arrogant & he wasn't an American. They were all like Tyson or Bowe would knock him out, he won't be the real champion until he beats those guys, etc. They were all full of ****. Lewis was a dominate champ during a very diverse, talent rich division. Certainly a top 5 HW all time.

you said he was never taken out early be second rate fighters though and he was.
Also tyson is younger than lewis so age prime or not is a poor excuse.

It's this attitude that shows how overrated Lewis is on this site!

And WOE to anyone who dares question it!

Lewis isn't even the best of the era, let alone top five all time!! :patsch
