Let's stick to fights where the "right" guy won, if we don't this will turn into a robbery thread.

One that comes to mind is Ward-Bika. One judge had it a 12-0 shutout and the others I believe had it 11-1. I scored the fight really close and had it 7-5 Ward.

Barerra/marquez was alot closer then the judges indicated in that fight. In fact i had barerra winning the fight.

Ward vs Bika was the first one to come to mind too.

Abraham vs Smith. Close for AA in reality, Wide on the scorecards

There was a fight a couple of years ago. I didn't watch it but it was a split decision and scene said they had it 120-108 to the other guy.

I think it's rios Abril but not sure

Abraham/Smith for sure, had it a draw, but can accept Abraham close, but the scorecards were way too wide.

    :think Mares-Moreno
And according to Tony Crebs Daniel Ponce De Leon only won one round against Broner.

ref missed the knockdown then barrera got 1 or 2 points deducted for punching while marquez was down. that was a huge swing in marquez's favor

That fight jumped to mind when I saw this thread, except that I thought the scores were accurate (forgetting the 3 point swing that would have happened if MAB got credit for the knockdown).

I was a big MAB fan, I was rooting for MAB, but he didn't do enough in most of the rounds that night.

So despite the wide score in JMM's favor, I thought it was a competitive fight where all of the rounds were close, but JMM almost always did just a tad more.

It was, but even with that 3 point swing I don't think MAB did enough, sadly. Which is a shame, because I think prime MAB beats Marquez.

Surprised no one has mentioned this...

Jose Luis Castillo VS Floyd Mayweather Jr 1
    Hongtongkam 116-111 | Keane 115-111 | Roth 115-111

Anyone who watched that fight, knew it was much much closer than that.

Not that it really matters, but both Letterman & Merchant had Castillo winning the fight (ringside) and so did the crowd.

Funnily enough, both fighters were under the Top Rank wing & Floyd was the next best thing.
