Wiesfeld is even worse than Lederman...

I agree and his rationale was even worse. Thank god he doesn't judge.

I don't think he's a terrible judge. I get the sense he doesn't have enough confidence to not be influenced by Lampley's commentary and HBO's corporate agenda. So in a close fight where you could score it two different ways I get the feeling that he'll score it the way he thinks HBO wants him to. A guy like Letterman has bad night and definitely at times scores for the house fighters....but there has been plenty of times where he's gone against the house guy in a close fight. Wiesfeld doesn't have that record yet. Hopefully last night was just an off night.

 

Fire Weisfeld.... He knows nothing about boxing. Probably was told to hype Ruslan though so thats what he was trying to do.

 

I've always thought Lederman was an underrated judge. At least, underrated on these boards. People dog on anyone as not KSAB if they are a popular boxing commentator. I think Lederman sometimes gets it wrong… sometimes way wrong. But ALL scorers of fights are going to have off days. More often than not he's in the right. His judgement is more reliable than most professional judges imo. Same goes for Julie Lederman.
