I absolutely have to agree with you, that fight was the best of his career because he completely outclassed Wilder and was the first to beat him like that...

Wilder 2 looked physically unstoppable. Stiff arm jab which he has never threw since (had elbow surgery after this fight) his right hand has also faded. Now just runs people onto shots and fires from the hip with arm punches.

But seeing the lighter young version of Fury as in Wlad & Chisora 2, switch hitting, triple quadrupling a flicking jab and moving off laterally which no super heavy to this day has or can do is memorizing. Will be a long time before we see a 260+ pound man move the way Fury could. You'll never see a bigger changes though from debut to retirement.

It's a shame Haye ducked him because if that fight happened Fury would have sonned him and blown to stardom. Instead Fury had it the hard way against cheating Wlad, got no respect for his win and only built a name for himself with the 1st and 2nd Wilder bouts.

I think Wilder 1. That was the fight where Fury feared the right hand of God and boxed accordingly and beautifully. But during the fight he realized Wilder is a useless dosser so in the second fight he simply decided to take out the trash.

I think the Wlad fight was peak Fury. Wilder 2 was the best performance after his comeback.

You could also say the Whyte fight I guess. Those are his 2 dominant wins over champions so its either or.

For me, it has to be the his win over Wladimir Klitschko. Fury was in good shape, he was quick, intelligent and very creative. I honestly don't think he has been as good since then.

There were two peaks, imo. His athletic prime was in run-up to winning belts. Beautiful movement and boxing flair, though at expense of power.

For Wilder 2 he looked the most physically and mentally imposing he'd ever been. All business, no clowning or gurning, and showed ability to adapt to completely new Kronk style that was perfect timing in light of the fact that his feet had already slowed by that time.

Wilder 2 was definitely his most impressive win in terms of the manner in which he won against a peak Wilder who still had his aura, and who'd nearly KO'ed him in their previous fight.

For me, probably the third Chisora fight. Really showed that he was willing to take on unfinished business.

i think its the only time i saw him adapt his gameplan to the fighter. he was a cutie before wilder 2. thats the first time he came out to bully a fighter on the inside. that was the way to beat wilder. and thats what a good trainer would have come up with when facing wilder. so i guess yeah, that was the peak of his ability as a fighter.

I think his best was before the Wlad fight, around the Chisora/Hammer fights where he got stoppages without taking any punches. Those two were hard to stop as well.

Wlad fight he was fat-camped and didn't do any damage really. The feat was impressive but it wasn't his best performance.

Wilder I was a better performance than Wlad, boxed really well but also landed good shots throughout and visibly hurt Wilder at the end. Dodged big punches all fight, which was impressive since Wilder was fast and more active than Wlad.

Wilder I was better than Wilder II because by Wilder II Fury was already getting fat. He got hit by RH's very early in that fight, unlike the first, and was lucky he landed that earshot and basically took Wilder out the fight. The third fight showed what that idiot 'Kronk' strategy would actually do 9/10 times, give Fury brain damage.

People forget how easily he beat Wilder in the first until he got nailed in the 12th for abandoning his boxing. He only saved himself one round of danger in the third fight by getting the KO and took much more damage.

Cunningham fight was actually a good performance too, boxed well, then pressured and destroyed Cunningham when plan A didn't work. It also showed that Sugar did nothing with Fury as he did exactly what he did to Wilder in that fight when he pressed forward and brawled and showed the same type of power. In that case it was a smart tactic because Cunningham doesn't KO people like Wilder.

    Definitely.
Wilder 2 and 3 are the only times in his career he looked like a killer in his whole career.
