All of Joshua's fights have been money makers for those handling him

    - PPV sales
    - Ticket sales
    - Sky selling the fight to other broadcasters overseas
    - Sky selling advertising space on commerical breaks to big beer/gambling/clothing companies

They do the numbers and make them work.

With this show though, its just about PBC not wanting to lose Wilder and them honouring the promise they made to Ortiz too.

They have $27m going out but about $10-15m coming back with a net deficit that would be logged as a significant loss for any business.

What is the reason for declaring these "official" purses as per the nevada commission and then "leaking" these far larger purses ?

Excuse my naivety but why the fear of transparency ? if Deontay is being paid $20m why not shout it out ?

This is exactly why the result is already predetermined, Ortiz is a sitting duck, as per instructions from Haymon/PBC

and this is why i believe that boxing should be like other sports when it comes to the purses. i find it wrong that SHOULD ortiz pulls off the upset tonight that he earns less. the fighter who wins should get the larger check. you might find more honest fights if this were the case.
