    He fought twice last year including a stoppage win over former unbeaten Finnish southpaw Jarno Rosburg. he's a solid Euro level/fringe contender type of guy, not sure that has any world title aspirations, but he could probably get a decent rating with the ABC'S if he really wanted to....

    collect a nice payday twice a year i guess. he beat some japenese hw befor the finn i believe?

    That's the point that gives hope to Wilder fans. Arguably, Wilder's 30 is better than Wlad's 30. The troubling thing for Wilder is that his 30 has taken a couple more years than Wlad's 30. Still, Wilder gets too much hate, you don't see other fighters with comparable resume's getting as much flak (Bryant Jennings, Mike Perez). Plus, unlike Wilder, those other fighters just don't have the physical tools to be HW champs. I'm doubtful that he'll get there, but its at least imaginable.

    What's the big deal? You can take almost any famous heavyweight and check out their early fights and see the exact same thing. In fact, back in the olden days, heavyweight champions fought no-hopers their entire careers.
