The U.K. (65 mill pop.) and US (323 mill pop.) arent close to being comparable since tickets in the UK are extremely cheap. Cheap seats at Joshua-Wlad were only around $150 while a nosebleed seats in Mayweather-Canelo were around $400. Also, Joshua-Wlad VIP tickets were only $2,500, which is around half the price for an average ticket in Mayweather-PAC or Mayweather-McGregor. Joshua sold around 1.5 million paperviews, but they only cost around $25. In the US paperviews start at twice as much.

Joshua against standard opponents had ticket prices as low as $53 to as high as 700, which is about similar to what Wilder's ticket prices are when he fights in Alabama.

Hearn knows Joshua's earning potential is capped if he stays in the U.K., which is why he was trying to break into the US market with the Wlad rematch. The money is still there to be made, but Wilder is a far bigger risk than a Wlad, who hasn't been in top form for over 5 years.

Ultimately it is posturing by Wilder, but look at it this way...

Joshua earns 15-20m dollars a fight
Wilder earns (let us be generous here) 2-5m per fight.

They fight and the revenue is 50m. Why would Joshua unify the titles for just 5m more than he usually gets.

$32.5m for Joshua and $17.5m for Wilder would give them a 65/35 split which is more than fair for Wilder. If he rejects that, he would be insane - he is never going to earn more than 25% of that sort of purse again and could set his family up for life.

    How would the PPV's look?

Say 1mill buys in the UK @25 dollars = $25m
    US PPV let us say 400,000 buys @ 70 dollars = $28m
    Gate revenue = $20m

    less promoters costs

    So where’s his offer then?
Go on point it out, where the Fcuk is the offer from Haymon, DiBella or whoever it is that speaks for Wilder? They keep saying they want 50/50, they’re setting the terms but where the fcuk is the offer?

There isn’t one, they want to set the terms but have no money behind them, no TV deal, No stadium, no guaranteed ticket sales revenue, no credibility, they’re full of śhįt.

Wilder doesn’t want the fight, he’s enjoying his fur coats and loves swanning around yelling but doesn’t want any part of anything that might take that away from him.

Hearn: Hi DW, we want to make the fight with AJ
Wilder: Yeah man, the best should fight the Best “Booommmb Squaaad!”
Hearn: whatever, DW how much you been making per fight?
Wilder: $1.5 Million US Dollars baby but the money don’t matter man!
Hearn: OK, this is doable, how much do you want to fight AJ in the U.K.
Wilder: $20,000,000 that’s Twenty Million Dollars US Baby
    Hearn: <<click>>
Wilder: Eddie, Eddie are you still there! MoFo AJ don’t wanna fight me eh?

Wilder: Lou, get me that bloke who beat Klitschko
    DiBella: Corrie Sanders?
Wilder: yeah he’s the one, I’ll show em, I’ll beat the man who beat the man
DiBella: D, he’s been dead for 5 years
Wilder: Still more live than half my resume, if you can’t get him then get Stiverne back on the phone. I’ll give em a trilogy!

I was with you until you said Joshua-Wilder only does 400,000 buys in the US. Wilder-Joshua in Vegas with proper promotion should do between 1-2 million buys, which knowing Hearn won't be an issue, since he isn't a third rate promoter like Duva.

Even Ward-Kovalev could've easily did 2-3 times the PPV numbers it did, but they hardly promoted it. Besides hardcore boxing fans a lot of people weren't even aware Ward was fighting until the day after the fight.

Pricing himself out, now this could be one of two things. He is either frightened of getting in the ring with AJ cause he knows defeat will surely ensue, or he is a self proclaimed god of boxing, with delusions of grandeur, which would exclude him ever being the b-side for nobody!.
I think he thinks it’s the latter.

If you make a popularity list of US active athletes in all sports, will Wilder even crack top 100?

He's not getting 50/50 at this point. Maybe if he unifies and gets Parker before Joshua does or if he can beat the other top heavyweights in the next year to year and a half. Fury, Ortiz, Povetkin, Parker and Charr. would be a strong line up that would position Wilder well to earn a 50/50 spilt with Joshua.

The only way out of this is to fight Fujimoto. A win over him delays the doubters.

Wilder asking for 50/50 is likely just a negotiating tactic. As of right now, he should be fine with 65/35 or 60/40. Beating all bums, and Stiverne doesn't give you the right to demand 50/50 with a man that brings 70-80 thousand into stadiums.

Nobody knows who Wilder is? Absolute hogwash and you know it.

The truth is few boxers are talked about more. Nobody is talked about more at this forum, that's for sure.

The American Heavyweight Champion of the World isn't even a household name in the states.

Joshua makes more money per fight than the rest of the top 50 heavyweights combined.....

Yet Deontay "Nobody knows me" Wilder wants 50%?

    Laughable.
