He comes across a bit forced to be honest. I do like his bow tie though.

Wilder is 100% confident he KO's Joshua. Been like that ever since Takam.

Hearn will accept but fight Povetkin first.

I don't think Hearn really wants the fight. Joshua I think does want it so it will happen just not next.

Hearn does not decide who AJ fights. That is a myth.

Hearn provides the options but AJ makes the final call.

ESPN is reporting that Wilder has agreed to all of Hearn’s terms to fight in the UK. The $50M is still on the table if they want to take it and do the fight in USA.

Now it’s up to Team AJ to choose option A or option B and sign on the dotted line.

My theory is that Ryabinski, the Russian backer of Povetkin, has paid Eddie under the table to make that fight happen (money AJ doesn’t know about and won’t see) and that Fast Eddie will make that fight anyway so he can keep the rubles.

Why would Hearn do that? You think he would risk his relationship with AJ?

AJ will pick Povetkin or Wilder. The idea that Hearn has power over the biggest draw in boxing is simply ridiculous

So AJ said “I want to fight Molina”???

Nah, Eddie pulling those strings. Wants that under-the-table Russian money.

Wilder has accepted. Now Hearn is going to have to come up with more excuses. SMFH.

Why's Povetkin's name still being bandied around, f that it's time for AJ to face some real competition he's had a more than generous ride so far.

Even the salesman that is Eddie Hearn can't squirm his way out of this one and save face.

I don't think you understand how most management contracts work.

We can't know the details of AJ's contractual situation, but it's EXTREMELY unlikely that he has the final say in anything. Ask a good contract lawyer if you don't believe me.

I agree with the above poster that AJ probably does want the fight.

Obviously we don't know the details. Although given Joshua's commercial strength and importance to Matchroom as a percentage of their total revenue the last time his contract was negotiated and the quality of his personal management (and thus presumably his own legal representation) it's reasonable to expect him to have one of the most favourable contracts in boxing.

Even if he doesn't have a contractual right to approve any opponent given the above factors its very difficult to see anything happening against his expressed will.
