In a new interview just posted today, Deontay Wilder says he accepts Joseph Parker's challenge to unify the WBC and WBO belts in a fight in April. Here is the link to the interview-

    YES!!!!

So Wilder soughts to justify his selection of Wawryzk explaining that its a fight to test out his hand. Make of it as you will. History has showed other fighters coming back from a hand injury against formidable opponents but everyones different.

As soon as Wilder heard about Parkers offer he got on the phone with his management that hes keen to go. Thats good news but then he said he left it to management and went on to explain their processes I think.

Will this all mean Hughie Fury Parker is out the window or postponed or even brought forward? Wouldnt doubt Parker taking Fury on in March...

Would be great if this fight comes off. I guess the way Parker has struggled in recent fights has made Wilder think he can win comfortably and that this isn't too big a risk.

MrBOXINGTODAY2, HATMANSTRIKESBACK and Boxing Gossip really bring interesting points to all of the divisions fights and fighters. Check out their channels some time. I love boxing too much lol.

So the question is whether Wilder can make it through the Wawrzyk fight without breaking some crucial part of his body again.

Praise for Wilder, but with damn near every good heavyweight fight failing to actually culminate these days, it's hard to get too excited.

i think money could be a factor unless parkers team accept a smaller cut offer.
haymon has been paying wilders opponents 150k and wilder 1.5 million.

i am guessing the fight would only take place in usa.

what did parker get for the ruiz jnr fight ?

i do not know what kind of money is on offer in NZ.
with whole country backing him i suspect he would be on a million plus usa dollars ?

And some of the reasons would be just nonsense back in the ole days where they signed the dotted line and it was on! The governing bodies allowed the fighters a bit too much say.

I heard a million plus but Ive got no evidence to support it. I think I saw it in an article but I cant remember the heading or the news source to track it down.

I doubt Parker and his new status will accept anything near that amount of $150k

they wont / its why deontay has picked the opposition he has because haymon can get away with paying small money.

martin got 5 million to fight joshua in comparison.

from what you have said if parker is offered a guaranteed 1 million plus allowed to keep NZ tv money that would be fair to get the fight on.
